Abstract:
A compressed article of hygiene is formed by a compressed cloth that has been compressed by dehydration or vacuum pressure into a coin shape and that is expandable upon contact with a liquid, and a plurality of microencapsulated beads containing a material. The microencapsulated beads are attached and embedded in the compressed cloth. Upon contact with water, expansion of the compressed cloth is unconstrained, and the compressed cloth when expanded has a shape of a facial mask with openings for eye, nose and mouth. The material is a facial treatment material that hardens upon drying.
Abstract:
A method for creating a specialized medical database uses software installed on a computer having a microprocessor and a database. The software allows a user to input search terms into the computer, whereby the software then searches the internet, including social media sites and chat rooms for posts that include the search terms. The posts are then analyzed by software that can obtain identification of the individuals. The software then contacts each of the individuals to verify the information in the post, to obtain additional information and to obtain contact information regarding each of the individuals' physicians. The software then contacts the physician to verify the information supplied by the individual. All of the information obtained in this process is then placed in a sortable format in the memory of the computer.
Abstract:
A bandage is formed of a film layer, an adhesive applied to the film layer, and an absorbent layer connected to the film layer. The absorbent layer comprises a compressed fabric soaked in a fluid. A permeable membrane is disposed over the absorbent layer and creates an electrical charge when fluid from the absorbent layer passes through the membrane. The electricity generated by the osmosis flows to a plurality of light emitting diodes that are connected to the membrane through a battery. The LEDs emit UV light to disinfect a wound when a bandage is applied to the wound.
Abstract:
Apparatuses for playing signals received from the internet or other information highway or a stored database on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from preselected addresses; a processor for interpreting the signals; and at least one speaker for playing signals from the internet. There is at least display device in the form of a holographic projector connected to the receiver for displaying a 3D holographic image received from the internet. The processor selects images that correspond with the signals played by the speaker. The speaker projects the sound into certain areas of the environment, so that it appears that the sound is coming from a place other than the actual speaker itself. A holographic projector connected to the processor projects a 3D holographic image onto the place from which the sound appears to originate, rather than on the actual speaker itself.
Abstract:
A security system utilizes at least one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that is equipped with a video camera and a motion detector. The UAV is controlled remotely by a ground control station having a computer. When not in flight, the UAV is mounted on a docking station that has a battery charger for charging a battery in the UAV when the UAV is docked at the docking station. The UAV has a transmitter that transmits an alert signal to the ground control station when an intruder is detected via the video camera or motion detector. The ground control station is configured to deploy and control the UAV to follow the intruder upon receiving the signal from the UAV. The UAV is controlled by personnel at the ground control station, who can direct the flight path of the UAV based on the movements of the intruders.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying a two-component liquid composition to a surface has a housing having an open end, and a roller ball disposed and rotatably retained in the housing and projecting through the open end. There are two containers disposed at least partially in the housing. Each container has a dispensing nozzle arranged adjacent the roller ball. The nozzles have an open end such that a liquid or pasty substance disposed in each of the containers flows from the containers through the nozzle directly to the roller ball upon application of pressure to the substances in the containers. Rolling roller ball across a surface mixes the two substances on the roller ball with each other. This occurs by virtue of the movement of the roller ball around the surface, which causes the substances to flow around the ball and mix with each other during rolling.
Abstract:
A stability system is formed from a bottom platform having a top surface configured to receive a sole of a shoe, an interior side and an exterior side. A leg cuff is connected to the exterior side of the bottom platform and comprises a vertical sidewall configured to abut a user's leg when the user's foot is placed on the bottom platform. The leg cuff has an intermediate portion extending around a rear of the stability system and being connected to the bottom platform near an interior side of the bottom platform, to secure the user's heel in place. The stability system is configured such that when a user places a shoe onto the bottom platform, the bottom platform extends beyond a width of the shoe at least on the exterior side and the intermediate portion surrounds the user's ankle. The extra width provides additional stability to a user whose balance is compromised.

Abstract:
A system for monitoring the health of an individual by providing biometric sensors attached to or inside the skin of a patient, along with a transmitter connected to the sensors for transmitting data from the sensors to a central monitoring station via a receiver located near the sensors. The sensor system is connected to an RFID tag, which communicates with an RFID reader in a remote location. The RFID tag transmits data from the sensors to the reader through the antenna, and the data is then analyzed by a microprocessor and an alert is communicated to a central monitoring station if the data from the sensors exceeds a preset threshold limit.
Abstract:
An apparatus for playing signals received from the Internet or other information highway on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from a preselected address; a processor for interpreting the signals; and at least one sound emitting device for playing the processed signal. The apparatus has an ornamental design on the outside which is related to the topic of the signals received from the address. The apparatus could include a smartphone as the receiver.
