Abstract: An emitter includes a water intake part, a pressure-reducing flow path part, a first flow-rate adjusting part, a second flow-rate adjusting part, and a discharge part. The first flow-rate adjusting part includes a first valve seat, a first communication hole, a first diaphragm part, and a valve body. The valve body is disposed between the first diaphragm part and an opening of the first communication hole. The valve body moves toward the first communication hole as the first diaphragm part approaches the first valve seat. The shape of the valve body is such that, when the traveling distance of the valve body is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the gap decreases as the valve body moves and such that, when the traveling distance of the valve body exceeds the predetermined value, the gap increases as the valve body moves.

Abstract: This emitter (120) comprises: a first flow rate adjustment unit which adjusts the flow rate of an irrigation liquid according to the deformation of a first diaphragm (160); and a second flow rate adjustment unit which adjusts the amount of irrigation liquid ejected (discharged) from the emitter (120) according to the deformation of a second diaphragm (170). The first diaphragm (160) has a projection spaced apart by a space from a hole which is a flow path for the irrigation liquid. The projection has an inverted truncated cone shape and is formed so that the space widens as the projection goes into the hole.

Abstract: This emitter (120) comprises, downstream of a first pressure reducing flow path, a discharge amount adjustment part and a discharge part. The discharge amount adjustment part communicates with the discharge part via two flow paths: a first hole (173); and a communication flow path including a second hole (174) and a second pressure reducing flow path. An irrigation liquid is supplied directly to the discharge part from the discharge amount adjustment part through the first hole (173) when the external liquid pressure is low, and supplied to the discharge part from the discharge amount adjustment part through the second hole (174) and the second pressure reducing flow path when the external liquid pressure is high.

Abstract: A nozzle plate is to be attached to a fuel injection port of a fuel injection device and injects fuel from the fuel injection port into an intake pipe through nozzle holes. The outlet side openings of the nozzle holes are partially blocked by interference bodies to determine the fuel injection directions and form orifices for reducing flows of the fuel at the outlet side openings. The plurality of orifices have different fuel injection directions, fuel fine particles in sprays draw ambient air, and the drawn air is provided with kinetic momentum to generate a spiral air flow. The nozzle plate is formed by cooling and solidifying molten resin having filled the cavity of a die.

Abstract: A plastic sintered body has a first compressed portion formed by heating plastic powder packed in a cavity of a metal mold and sintering a first portion of the plastic powder packed in the cavity in a first compression state. In addition, a second compressed portion is formed by sintering a second portion of the plastic powder packed in the cavity in a second compression state. A plurality of interconnected minute voids are formed in the first compressed portion and a plurality of interconnected minute voids smaller than the voids in the first compressed portion are formed in the second compressed portion. The manufacturing of the plastic sintered body as noted above is performed continuously in the metal mold. In addition, two types of porous portions including voids of different sizes are formed by sintering only one type of the plastic powder in the metal mold.

Abstract: A nozzle plate has a plurality of blades in the area that surrounds the nozzle hole on the outer plane of the bottom wall part. When the fuel is injected from the nozzle hole and the pressure in the vicinity of the nozzle hole is reduced, the plurality of blades guide a flow of air from the radially outward side of the bottom wall part to the radially inward side of the bottom wall part and generates a swirling flow of the air about the center of the bottom wall part. The swirling flow of the air about the center of the bottom wall part changes to a helical flow by receiving kinetic momentum from fine particles of the fuel injected from the nozzle hole and the helical flow of the air transports the fine particles of the fuel.

Abstract: In a nozzle plate for a fuel injection device which can inject fuel flowed out from a fuel injection port of the fuel injection device in a sufficiently atomized state, a portion of fuel which flows in the inside of a nozzle hole impinges on an interference element, is sharply bent so as to flow backward by an impinging surface of the interference element which is formed of an annular recessed surface, is made to impinge on fuel which intends to advance straightly and pass through the nozzle hole and the orifice, and forms the flow of the fuel which intends to advance straightly and pass through the nozzle hole and the orifice into a turbulent flow. As a result, the nozzle plate for a fuel injection device further enhances the level of the atomization of fuel.
