    摘要: In a droplet ejector equipped with an ejection port for ejecting minute droplets of a liquid, the ejection port 61 or the ejector and a conductor 10 such as a vehicle body are made electrically conductive to increase the electrostatic capacity of the ejection port 61 or the ejector and to suppress enlargement of the potential difference between the ejection port 61 and the liquid caused by flow electrification of the liquid. When the potential difference is large, a coulomb force acts between the electrified droplets and the electrostatically-charged ejection port, causing problems such as delayed or insufficient droplet discharge, but such problems are solved by increasing the electrostatic capacity of the ejection port 61 or the ejector.

    摘要: An electromagnetically actuatable valve having a longitudinal valve axis, an electromagnetic circuit, a movable actuating member that cooperates with a fixed valve seat for opening and closing the valve, and an outlet opening that is configured downstream of the valve seat. The actuating member is configured in a bowl, trough, or saucer shape, having an actuating leg and a supporting leg that is configured to be substantially perpendicular to the former. The actuating leg, as a movable part of the actuating member, cooperates with an upper layer of atomization disk to form a sealing valve. The valve may be used as a fuel injector in an internal combustion engine, such as in a mixture-compressing, spark-ignition internal combustion engine.

    摘要: A fuel injector, in particular a high pressure injector for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine having externally supplied ignition and mixture compression, is characterized in that a valve needle, which is movable axially along a longitudinal axis of the valve, has a specially designed valve closing section on its downstream end. To open and close the valve, the valve closing section works together with a fixed valve seat. Swirl-producing elements are arranged upstream from the valve seat while a flattened face running perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the valve is provided on the downstream end of the valve closing section downstream from the valve seat.

    摘要: Metering components of a fuel injector that allow spray targeting and distribution of fuel to be configured using non-angled or straight orifice having an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the fuel metering components. Metering orifices are located about the longitudinal axis and defining a first virtual circle greater than a second virtual or bolt circle defined by a projection of the sealing surface onto the metering disc so that all of the metering orifices are disposed outside the second virtual or bolt circle within one quadrant of the circle. A channel is formed between the seat orifice and the metering disc that allows the fuel injector to generate a spray pattern along the longitudinal axis that forms a flow area on a virtual plane transverse to the longitudinal axis. The fuel injector of the preferred embodiments can be calibrated to an angular position about the longitudinal axis to achieve a desired targeting of a flow area and desired flow area distribution and atomization of the fuel injector. A method of targeting the fuel flow area is also provided.

    摘要: A fuel injector for use with an internal combustion engine. The fuel injector can include a tube assembly, an armature assembly, a working air gap, a coil, and a housing. The tube assembly has a longitudinal axis and includes a non-magnetic tube having a first end and a second end, and a pole piece disposed inside the non-magnetic tube intermediate the first and second ends. The armature assembly is disposed within the tube assembly between the pole piece and the first end. The armature assembly includes an end face resiliently biased away from the pole piece. The working air gap separates the end face and the pole piece when the end face is biased away from the pole piece. The coil is connectable to an electrical power source and operable to displace the end face toward the pole piece against the resilient bias on the armature assembly. The housing is positioned adjacent the working air gap and supports the coil on the tube assembly. The housing extends around the coil and has a ferromagnetic inner wall extending between the coil and the non-magnetic tube. The ferromagnetic inner wall has an opening with a width that is substantially less than the length of the coil as measured parallel to the longitudinal axis.

    摘要: Air pressure which is proportional to the rotation speed of an engine is generated in a crank chamber 2 during operation. The crank chamber 2 is communicated to a fuel tank 10 having sealed structure with interposition of a check valve 25. Air pressure which is proportional to the rotation speed of the engine is applied to fuel in the fuel tank 10. The fuel tank 10 is communicated to the fuel injection system 30. The fuel injection system 30 opens its injection orifice only when power is supplied to a solenoid coil and injects supplied fuel into a combustion chamber. Because air pressure which is proportional to the rotation speed of the engine is applied to fuel, through each fuel injection time is constant, fuel which is proportional to the rotation speed can be injected. In particular, a shorter injection time is sufficient for high rotation speed operation in comparison with conventional fuel injection time, thereby power consumption of the fuel injection system 30 is reduced. Fuel injection rate is stabilized and the rotation stability at high speed is improved. This invention provides an engine for models in which power consumption of the electronic controlled fuel injection system is reduced and fuel is supplied adequately to the rotation speed.
