摘要: A fluid atomizer and methods of atomizing fluids are disclosed. The fluid atomizer may comprise an inner member and one or more outer members. The inner member defines an interior conduit for providing a first-fluid flowpath from a supply end of the atomizer to a discharge end of the atomizer along a central axis. The one or more outer members are positioned radially outward of the inner member from the central axis. The inner and outer members define a second-fluid flowpath extending from a second-fluid supply conduit to a second-fluid discharge plenum. The second-fluid flowpath comprises a tangential conduit spiraling along the axis from the second-fluid supply conduit to a terminal end; an annulus downstream from and in fluid communication with the tangential conduit; and a second-fluid discharge plenum downstream from and in fluid communication with the annulus.

摘要: A nozzle hole of a nozzle plate is coupled to a fuel injection port of a fuel injection device via a swirl chamber and first and second fuel guide channels opened into the swirl chamber. The swirl chamber is formed by combining first and second elliptical-shaped recessed portions. The first fuel guide channel opens at a side of a short axis of the first elliptical-shaped recessed portion and a side of the short axis that does not overlap with the second elliptical-shaped recessed portion, and the second fuel guide channel opens at a side of a short axis of the second elliptical-shaped recessed portion and a side of the short axis that does not overlap with the first elliptical-shaped recessed portion. The first and second fuel guide channels have depths deeper than those of the swirl chamber and extend inside of the swirl chamber while gradually reducing cross-sectional areas.

摘要: In the preferred embodiments an air flow diverting blade is integral to a base that doubles as a collar designed to coaxially attach to the tip end of a typical port fuel injector for internal combustion engines.Upon simple manual manipulation of the set rotational angle of the typically externally exposed portion of the port fuel injector along its longitudinal axis, as typical modern port injection systems allow after installation, the angle of the intra-port flow diverting blade can be selectively varied to either straighten existing swirl and increase top end flow, or, introduce lateral directional swirl to whatever desired angle and intensity in either direction is desired. The functional use of a typical port fuel injector is thereby elevated to a dual function of both tunable fuel and air flow control at the point of induction into a combustion chamber without any modification to existing engine designs or their engine management control systems employed therefore. The flow diverting blade can be configured to divert flow around the intake valve stem, guide and guide boss in such a manner to optimize the overall flow dimension of the induction system of a typical internal combustion engine. The flow diverting blade also provides an effective means by which the proximity and angle of fuel injection, relative to the combustion chamber, can be altered and improved as desired. The flow diverting blade also provides an effective means by which a modest increase in effective fuel injector nozzle pressure and fuel vaporization can be realized during periods of high load.

摘要: A centrifugal conical-spray atomization device. A head portion of a needle valve is provided with a throttling guidance cone. A seat surface of the needle valve mates with seat surface of a spin chamber to open and close a spray hole in a pulsatory manner. A plurality of tangential holes are provided between a pressure chamber and a spin chamber. After being spun tangentially by the spin chamber, fuel is sprayed from a spray opening with a tangential force, forming a hollow umbrella-like fuel film without a compact fuel spray core. The umbrella-like fuel film has a controllable penetration distance and spins at a high speed in a combustion chamber. The centrifugal conical-spray atomization device not only exhibits a wide adjustable range of fuel flow, but is able to automatically open and close the spray hole, while carbon deposition would not easily form to block the spray hole.

摘要: Disclosed is a fuel injection valve comprising: a fuel injection orifice provided in a downstream side of a valve seat which a valve body moves toward and away from; a swirl chamber having a swirl passage formed around the entry opening of the fuel injection orifice; and a transverse passage whose end is opened in an inner circumferential wall of the swirl chamber in order to provide a fuel into the swirl chamber, wherein a center of the entry opening is shifted from a first position where the velocity component in the swirl direction of the fuel can be maximized to a second position where the velocity component in the swirl direction is reduced, and where a velocity component in a center axis direction of the fuel injection orifice is enhanced. Thereby, it is possible to easily adjust a fuel injection amount and a spray angle.

摘要: An atomizing injector comprises a body having a central bore with a valve situated in the bore, leading to a chamber. An actuator moves the valve between closed condition and open conditions, selectively exposing the chamber to a flow of pressurized liquid. A discharge port extends from the chamber to a discharge orifice. A swirl element is situated in the chamber, while leaving a free space in the chamber immediately above the discharge port. When the valve is opened, liquid flows into the chamber, through the swirl element into the space, forming a whirl in the space before passing through the discharge port and exiting the discharge orifice as an atomized whirling spray.

摘要: A nozzle for a fuel injector can include an outer air swirler having an inner surface with the outer air swirler having a groove on the inner surface and a prefilmer located concentrically within the outer air swirler with the prefilmer having at least one detent finger to engage the groove on the inner surface of the outer air swirler. The nozzle can also include a fuel swirler located concentrically within the prefilmer and configured to convey fuel to a forward end of the nozzle with the fuel swirler having at least one tab extending axially at an aft end, and an inner air swirler having a cylindrical forward end located concentrically within the fuel swirler and an aft support extending radially outward to contact the outer air swirler with the cylindrical forward end contacting at least one tab of the fuel swirler to hold the fuel swirler in place.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve that imparts swirl upstream of a seat portion and shortens a spray penetration. At injection holes set adjacent to an injection hole and at injection holes set adjacent otherwise, nonuniform pitch angles β1 and β2 among the holes as well as stronger flows into the injection holes by a smaller angle α due to a smaller inflow angle β1 of a fluid into the injection holes can shorten the spray penetration at the injection hole.
