摘要: A fuel injector for controlling delivery of gaseous fuel into an intake passage of an internal combustion engine defines a fuel flow passage extending in a direction of fuel flow from an inlet to an outlet. An actuator moves a normally closed valve member from a closed to an open position. An annular valve seat is inclined relative to a direction of fuel flow, causing gaseous fuel to flow against the direction of fuel flow and act on the valve member in an opening direction when said actuator is energized to move the valve member to the open position. The valve member includes an extension including helical ribs defining helical channels, the helical ribs bearing on an inside surface of an outflow passage to guide axial movement of the valve member and said helical channels imparting a centripetal acceleration to said gaseous fuel as it flows through the outflow passage.

摘要: A fuel injection valve. The fuel injection valve has a support ring is provided on an inlet connection, which engages under the sealing ring on the inlet side. A plastic overmolding forms at least part of a valve housing. The support ring engaging under the sealing ring is positioned on the fuel injection valve in such a way that it rests directly on an upper end face of the plastic overmolding facing the sealing ring, so that the axial support of the sealing ring is provided indirectly via the plastic overmolding. The fuel injection valve is suitable, in particular, for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing external spark-ignition combustion engine.

摘要: Some embodiments include: a valve body; a valve needle; a calibration spring biasing the needle to close a fluid outlet; an armature to actuate the needle; and an armature stopper comprising an armature support, a circumferential side wall, and a circumferential clamping portion. The armature stopper is coaxial with the valve needle below the armature, facing the armature and providing a stop for the armature in the closing direction. The clamping portion includes a circumferential gutter formed by a base portion, an inner wall and an outer wall. The inner wall is part of the circumferential side wall with a smaller radial extension than the outer wall and is closer to the valve needle. The outer wall extends circumferentially around the inner wall to form a press-fit area for press-fitting the armature stopper into the valve body.

摘要: A shield and clip assembly is provided for use with a joint that connects the ends of pipes conveying a fluid under pressure. The joint includes a primary retention feature for retaining the connected pipe ends. The shield and clip assembly includes a cover configured to encapsulate the joint and the ends of the pipes sufficiently to ensure that the connected ends will not fully disengage from the joint and to ensure that leakage or spray, if any, of the fluid being conveyed from a leaking joint will be attenuated or shielded. The joint may be an in-line quick connector joint.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection valve configured to suppress bouncing of a valve element that is caused as a result of the valve element being rendered elastic when the valve element collides with a valve seat.The fuel injection valve of the present invention includes the valve element configured to come into contact with the valve seat for closing an injection hole and to separate from the valve seat for unclosing the injection hole, an elastic member urging the valve element toward the valve seat, a movable iron core disposed to be in and out of contact with the valve element, a fixed iron core disposed to be opposed to the movable iron core, and a coil configured to generate electromagnetic force for moving the movable iron core. At least one lower rigidity part having reduced rigidity per axial unit length is provided between a surface where urging force of the elastic member is transmitted to the valve element and a seat part whereat the valve element comes into contact with and separates from the valve seat.

摘要: An engine control system includes a fuel injector and a sensor that is configured to provide a signal indicative of a temperature. A controller is in communication with the sensor. The controller includes a fuel injector driver in communication with the fuel injector. The fuel injector driver includes a saturated mode and a peak and hold mode. The controller is configured to command the fuel injector driver to control the fuel injector with one of the saturated mode or the peak and hold mode based upon the signal. For a high resistance injector, the peak and hold mode is used in cold weather conditions to break free an injector seal, and then the fuel injector driver reverts to the saturated mode.
