A classification apparatus includes: a spectrogram generation unit that generates a spectrogram of a time variation signal of a classification object by processing the time variation signal of the classification object obtained by a sensor; a two-dimensional Fourier transform calculation unit that calculates a two-dimensional Fourier transform of the generated spectrogram; a similarity calculation unit that calculates a similarity between an template image and an image of the obtained two-dimensional Fourier transform, for each template image corresponding to each phenomenon stored in the template image memorizing unit; and a determination unit that determines whether the time variation signal of the classification object conforms to any of one or more phenomena, on the basis of the calculated similarity.

A method and system for providing automatic recommendations for a group of individuals based on physiological data of the individuals measured by sensors are provided. The method includes acquiring, from sensors, first physiological data from individuals of a group, prior to a point of time of a change in the group; acquiring, from sensors, second physiological data from the individuals of the group, after the point of time of the change; determining physiological condition of an individual of the group, based on the acquired first physiological data and the acquired second physiological data of the individuals of the group; and determining a recommendation fir the individual of the group based on the determined physiological condition,and the first and second physiological data.
Abstract:
An emotion estimating system includes a learning model and an estimation unit. The learning model accepts external information and biological information as input, and outputs an emotion of a user. The estimation unit changes a weighting applied to external information about the user detected by a first detector and a weighting applied to biological information about the user detected by a second detector in accordance with a situation around the user, and estimates the emotion output as a result of inputting external information and biological information changed by the respective weightings into the learning model as the emotion of the user.

A mobile terminal obtains a measurement value of a round-trip time in a communication channel used for communication with a server and a measurement value of a packet loss ratio in the communication channel (S502 and S503). Then, the mobile terminal determines whether or not a retransmission timeout is occurring in the server (S504, S505, and S506). If a retransmission timeout is occurring in the server, the mobile terminal calculates an estimate value of the bandwidth in the communication channel by using a special throughput equation including a timeout time (S507). On the other hand, if a retransmission timeout is not occurring in the server, the mobile terminal calculates an estimate value of the bandwidth by using a normal throughput equation which does not include a timeout time.

A robot control system includes: a plurality of conversation-type robots including an acquiring unit configured to acquire conversation information including conversation content during conversation with the user, background information during the conversation with the sure, and information on emotional reaction of a user during the conversation with the user; a collector configured to collect the acquired conversation information; and a generator configured to generate control information for controlling the plurality of conversation-type robots by using the collected conversation information. The plurality of conversation-type robots have a conversation with the user by using the control information to acquire new conversation information from the user.
