    Abstract: A method for controlling an uplink signal transmit power at the user equipment and a UE configured to perform such a method are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a downlink reference signal transmit power associated with a first resource indicator, a downlink reference signal transmit beamforming gain associated with a second resource indicator, an uplink signal receive beamforming gain associated with a third resource indicator, and an uplink signal target receive power associated with a fourth resource indicator and transmitting an uplink signal associated with a fifth resource indicator to a transmission point with a transmit power calculated based on the combination, wherein the downlink reference signal transmit power associated with the first resource indicator and the downlink reference signal transmit beamforming gain associated with the second resource indicator are signaled together as a single metric associated with a sixth resource indicator.

    Abstract: A paging method is disclosed. In an embodiment a method for paging monitoring implemented by a user equipment (UE) includes hashing an identity of the UE to determine a paging frame in which a page is to be sent to the UE and to determine a position of an indicator in a bitmap to be sent to the UE, wherein a value of the indicator indicates whether a page message associated with a paging group to which the UE belongs is transmitted in a current paging cycle, selecting a first downlink beamformed beam from a plurality of beams within the determined paging frame, receiving the bitmap from the first downlink beam and determining that the value of the indicator indicates that the page message is transmitted in the current paging cycle and, based thereon, receiving and decoding the page message to determine whether the UE is being paged.

    Abstract: A method of link adaptation is described including establishing, using a first serving point, a multi-user full duplex mode wherein the multi-user full duplex mode enables a downlink to a first wireless device and an uplink from a second wireless device. The first serving point requests from the first wireless device a first channel quality indicator indicating channel quality between the serving point and the first wireless device in a full duplex time period and a second channel quality indicator indicating channel quality between the serving point and the first wireless device in non-full duplex time period. The full duplex mode is evaluated using the first and second channel quality indicators. At least one parameter of the full duplex mode is adjusted based on the evaluating.

    Abstract: A method for operating a communications controller includes grouping a plurality of user equipments (UEs) in accordance with received channel condition reports, UE interference cancellation (IC) capability reports, and mobility estimates, thereby producing information about the grouping, selecting a first UE out of the plurality of UEs and a second UE out of the plurality of UEs, wherein the selecting is in accordance with the information about grouping, wherein a wide width beam is allocated to the first UE and a narrow width beam is allocated to the second UE, and wherein the wide width beam and the narrow width beam spatially overlap, co-scheduling resources of a first transmit block to the first UE and the second UE, determining first transmission parameters for the first UE and second transmission parameters for the second UE in accordance with the co-scheduled resources, and communicating with the first UE and the second UE in accordance with the first transmission parameters for the first UE and the second transmission parameters for the second UE.
