    Abstract: A method is provided for radio link failure (RLF) operations based on link failure recovery (LR), beam failure recovery (BFR) and radio link monitoring (RLM), and for interactions between modules for RLF, BFR, and RLM, and for integration of indications. A device may measure a reference signal received over one or more communication paths of a radio link to estimate the link quality for radio link operations (BFR/LR) and RLM. Based on configured criteria, the device may generate RLM or BFR/LR indications based on an assessed link quality metric or a link recovery operation status, combine or filter the indications and metrics from multiple paths of each module or from multiple modules, and send the filtered or combined results from a physical layer of the device to assist the RLF operations.

    Abstract: A UE comprises: a memory comprising instructions; and one or more processors in communication with the memory, wherein the one or more processors execute the instructions to: wirelessly communicate with a source node, perform a handover from the source node to a target node using L2 signaling in response to a handover decision between the source node and the target node, and wirelessly communicate with the target node in response to the handover. A method implemented by a UE comprises: wirelessly communicating with a source node; performing a handover from the source node to a target node using L2 signaling and in response to a handover decision; and wirelessly communicating with the target node in response to the handover.

The device also includes a level two (L2) processing element configured to consolidate, select, or filter the multiple beams responsive to the L1 data to produce L2 data corresponding to one or more of the multiple beams in a first cell that are consistent with preconfigured parameters. Furthermore, the device includes a level three (L3) processing element coupled to the L1 and L2 processing elements and configured to generate L3 data corresponding to one or more of the multiple beams in each of the first cell and a second cell. The device also includes a report generator coupled to the L1, L2 and L3 processing elements and configured to generate a report for a mobility event.
