    Abstract: A system includes a display and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a first computer-aided design (CAD) model representing at least one part of a machine, receive a second CAD model representing the at least one part of the machine, and identify one or more differences between the first CAD model and the second CAD model. The processor is also configured to populate a discrepancy list including the one or more differences between the first CAD model and the second CAD model, receive an input to review the discrepancy list, and display a visualization having the discrepancy list via the display upon receipt of the input.

    Abstract: A system includes a processor for implementing a computer-aided technology (CAx) system, the CAx system including a graphical-user-interface (GUI) that presents a computer-aided design (CAD) model, and the CAD model includes at least one part. Furthermore, the system includes memory storing instructions that cause the processor to present the GUI, receive, via the GUI, at least one indication of an association type and an indication of at least one criteria corresponding to the at least one indication of the association type, iterate the model to identify at least one second feature that satisfies the association type and the criteria, associate and store product and manufacturing information (PMI) with the at least one second feature, generating a PMI association, and display a PMI object of the at least one second feature on the CAD model in the GUI, the PMI object including the PMI.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for applying passive strain indicators to a component includes creating a plurality of surface curves and a plurality of data points on each of the plurality of surface curves, the plurality of surface curves and the plurality of data points defining the exterior surface of the component. The method further includes receiving data indicative of a user input selection of a selected surface curve of the plurality of surface curves, a selected data point of the plurality of data points on the selected surface curve, and a selected rotation angle. The method further includes determining an output dimension, location, and orientation of a passive strain indicator. The method further includes providing one or more control signals to a passive strain indicator application system to cause the system to apply the passive strain indicator having the output dimension, location, and orientation to the component.
