Abstract: A support bracket includes a base including a first hole and a backplane perpendicular to the base. The support bracket also includes three or more connecting surfaces extending outwardly from a left side of the back plane and a mounting tab extending perpendicularly form an outer surface of the third connecting surface and having a mounting tab hole having a diameter formed therein. The support bracket has height and a ratio of the diameter of the mounting tab hole to the height of the bracket is between 0.0467 and 0.0469 in.

Abstract: A water separator for use in an environmental control system of an aircraft includes a coalescing channel having a curved housing. The coalescing channel has a hollow interior. A coalescing insert is arranged within the hollow interior of the coalescing channel. The coalescing insert has an upstream end, a downstream end, and plurality of fluidly distinct flow channels extending between the upstream end and the downstream end such that the plurality of fluidly distinct flow channels receive a flow of medium in parallel.

Abstract: A coalescing tube bundle elbow for a water collector includes an inlet end, an outlet end, and a body section fluidly connecting the inlet and outlet ends. The inlet end can receive a fluid flow in an at least partially gaseous state in an incoming direction. The outlet end can discharge the fluid flow in an at least partially liquid state in an outgoing direction. The body section can condense at least a portion of the fluid flow from a gaseous state into a liquid state. The body section includes channels which are defined by channel walls and which extend along the body section from the inlet end to the outlet end, and has a curved profile such that the outgoing direction of the fluid flow is not parallel to the incoming direction of the fluid flow.

Abstract: An Environmental Control System (ECS) for an aircraft includes a ram air system having a ram inlet and a ram outlet. The ECS includes a cabin air compressor motor, a diverter valve, and a dedicated outlet. The cabin air compressor motor has a motor inlet passage and a motor outlet passage with the motor inlet passage being coupled to the ram inlet. The diverter valve includes a first diverter inlet, a first diverter outlet, and a second diverter outlet. The first diverter inlet is coupled to the motor outlet passage. The dedicated outlet is connected to the first diverter outlet in a flight mode of operation of the aircraft and the ram outlet is connected to the second diverter outlet in a ground mode of operation of the aircraft.

Abstract: A pressure vessel includes a first component, a second component, and a bonded lap joint between the first and second components. The bonded lap joint includes a portion of the first component which extends about a circumference of the pressure vessel, a portion of the second component which extends about the circumference of the pressure vessel and partially overlaps the portion of the first component, an adhesive bond connecting the portion of the first component to the portion of the second component and thereby joining the first and second components, and mechanically interlocking structures connecting the portion of the first component to the portion of the second component. The adhesive bond forms a primary retention mechanism. The mechanically interlocking structures are situated at least partially within each of the portion of the first component and the portion of the second component, and form a secondary retention mechanism.
