Abstract: In an embodiment, a fluid ejection device includes a die substrate having first and second fluid slots along opposite substrate sides and separated by a substrate central region. First and second internal columns of closed chambers are associated with the first and second slots, respectively, and the internal columns are separated by the central region. Fluidic channels extending across the central region fluidically couple closed chambers from the first internal column with closed chambers from the second internal column. Pump actuators in each closed chamber pump fluid through the channels from slot to slot.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a pump generator having a first resistance level and being positioned within a fluid circulation channel and a drop generator having a second resistance level and being positioned within a fluid ejection chamber. The apparatus may also include a control line connected to both the pump generator and the drop generator and a controller. The controller may output, at a first time, a first signal having a first pulse duration to the control line, the first signal to cause fluid in the fluid circulation channel to reach or exceed a first temperature and fluid in the fluid ejection chamber to remain below the first temperature and may output, at a second time, a second signal having a second pulse duration, the second signal to cause fluid in the fluid circulation channel and the fluid ejection chamber to reach or exceed the first temperature.

Abstract: A microfluidic valve may include a firing chamber having an orifice, a first portion of a liquid conduit connected to the firing chamber at a first port, a second portion of the liquid conduit connected to the firing chamber at a second port and a thermal resistor. The thermal resistor is to form a bubble within the firing chamber to expel liquid from the firing chamber through the orifice such that a first meniscus forms across the first port and a second meniscus forms across the second port to interrupt liquid flow between the first portion and the second portion of the liquid conduit.

Abstract: Examples include a fluid ejection system. The fluid ejection system comprises a fluid supply reservoir, a fluid ejection die, a fluid delivery subsystem, and a control engine. The fluid ejection die comprises nozzles to eject fluid and at least one temperature sensor disposed on the die to sense a temperature of the fluid ejection die. The fluid delivery subsystem fluidly connects the fluid reservoir and the fluid ejection die, and the fluid delivery subsystem comprises at least one valve to regulate conveyance of fluid from the fluid supply reservoir to the fluid ejection die. The control engine controls the at least one valve to thereby regulate conveyance of fluid from the fluid supply reservoir to the fluid ejection die based at least in part on the temperature of the fluid ejection die.
