    Abstract: A printable recording media that comprises a base substrate with an image-side and a back-side and a coating composition comprising, at least, particles of metallic salt of C8-C30 alkyl acid chain or alkyl ester chain having a mean particle size (D50) above 3 μm and having about 99.5% of the particle size distribution which is less than 80 μm, inorganic pigment particles and/or mixture inorganic particles, and polymeric binders and/or mixture of polymeric binders, is applied to the image-side of the base substrate. Also described herein are a method for forming the printable recording media and a printing method that includes ejecting an ink composition onto the print media described herein.

    Abstract: A printable medium with a non-woven base composite supporting substrate; at least two coating layers, on the image side of the composite supporting substrate, that include an ink fixing layer, directly applied upon the supporting substrate, comprising a salt; and an image receiving layer, applied over the ink fixing layer, including pigment fillers and polymeric binders; and a barrier layer, containing a flame-retardant agent, applied on the backside of the composite supporting substrate. Also disclosed are the method for producing printed images using said media and the resulting printed material.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to printable media. A printable medium includes a substrate having a first side and a second side. An ink-receiving layer is positioned on the first side of the substrate. The ink-receiving layer includes a colloidal sol. An ink-penetrable layer is positioned on the ink-receiving layer. The ink-penetrable layer includes a binder and polymer particles having a glass transition temperature from 80° C. to 150° C. A repositionable adhesive layer is positioned on the second side of the substrate. A release liner is removably positioned on the repositionable adhesive layer. A friction control layer is positioned on the release liner, where the friction control layer includes a slip aid.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to leveling compositions, embossed print media, and methods of preparing embossed print media. The embossed print media can include a media substrate, an image-receiving layer applied to the media substrate at a coating weight of 3 gsm to 50 gsm, and a leveling composition layer. The image-receiving layer can include a pigment filler having an average particle size ranging from 0.1 μm to 20 μm and a polymeric binder, and in examples herein, is embossed. The leveling composition layer can be applied at a coating weight of 0.2 gsm to 3 gsm to the image-receiving layer, and can include a cationic ionene polymer.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to printable films. In one example, a printable film can include a transparent polymeric film substrate, an image receiving layer on a front surface of the transparent polymeric film substrate, and a light diffusing layer on a back surface of the transparent polymer film substrate. The image receiving layer can include polymerized vinyl chloride monomer blended with or copolymerized with a second polymerized monomer. The light diffusing layer can include particles of a first inorganic material, particles of a second inorganic material, and a binder.
