Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a communication method and an apparatus thereof. The method includes: generating a first signal; and sending the first signal to a receiver over a first channel, where the first channel is one of multiple channels in a first band for narrowband communication, and at least a part of the first band is located in a guard band of a radio access network RAN. In the embodiments of the disclosure, a spectrum resource of a guard band of a RAN is used to establish a spectrum resource applicable to narrowband communication, thus improving spectrum utilization.

Abstract: A message transmission method and device relating to the field of communications technologies are described that improve an anti-interference capability in message transmission. The method includes generating a scrambling code according to a scrambling code initialization seed, wherein the scrambling code initialization seed meets the following expression: cinit=R·2a7+P·(nƒ mod k+1)·2b7 and then scrambling a message according to the scrambling code. The method further includes sending the scrambled message to a terminal on a physical downlink shared channel. Because the first time parameter has different values at at least two different moments, scrambling codes determined at the at least two corresponding different moments are different. Therefore, a possibility at which the base station uses a same scrambling code to scramble a same system message repeatedly in a time period is reduced, so that an anti-interference capability in system message transmission is improved.

Abstract: Example communication methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes determining a random access preamble by a terminal device, The random access preamble includes six symbol groups. The terminal device determines a frequency location of the random access preamble based on random access configuration information and a preset rule. A frequency hopping interval between a first symbol group and a second symbol group and a frequency hopping interval between a fifth symbol group and a sixth symbol group are equal and are first intervals. A frequency hopping interval between the second symbol group and a third symbol group and a frequency hopping interval between a fourth symbol group and the fifth symbol group are equal and are second intervals. A frequency hopping interval between the third symbol group and the fourth symbol group is a third interval. The random access preamble is sent based on the frequency location.

Abstract: A message transmission method and a device are used to accelerate a random access procedure. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, a repetition quantity of an uplink message from a network device, in response to determining that a reference signal receive power (RSRP) range of the terminal device is within an RSRP range corresponding to a signal coverage enhancement level 0, wherein the uplink message comprises a third message of a sequence of messages comprised in a random access attempt; calculating, by the terminal device, transmit power based on a power control parameter for the repetition quantity; and sending, by the terminal device, the uplink message to the network device based on the calculated transmit power.

Abstract: This application provides a system message transmission method, an apparatus, and a system. A first communications device configures a MIB message, and the MIB message may carry various different information used to transmit a SIB1, for example, any one or more of scheduling information, first information, and an operation mode of a carrier, so that a second communications device receives the SIB1 based on the MIB message. The first communications device may flexibly configure information used to transmit the SIB1. In addition, when configuring the MIB message, the first communications device may consider ensuring, through configuration or implicit indication, that resource locations for transmitting SIB1s of different cells in one period are different. This type of interference isolation mechanism can avoid mutual interference between transmission of SIB1s of different cells, so that transmission reliability of the SIB1s can be improved.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to SFN indication methods, terminal devices, and positioning servers and systems. One example method includes obtaining an SFN offset indication parameter of a cell i, sending the SFN offset indication parameter of the cell i to a terminal device, receiving the SFN offset indication parameter of the cell i from the positioning server, obtaining a frame number of a radio frame n of a cell j, and determining a phase rotation parameter of the cell i based on the frame number of the radio frame n of the cell j and the SFN offset indication parameter of the cell i, or obtaining a sequence initialization factor used by a narrowband positioning reference signal (NPRS) on a radio frame m of the cell i, and obtaining the NPRS on the radio frame m of the cell i based on the sequence initialization factor.
