Abstract: The present disclosure includes example resource selection methods and apparatuses. The example method includes configuring a CSI process for a second device, where the CSI process corresponds to configuration information of K reference signal resources or configuration information of K reference signal antenna port groups. A reference signal is sent to the second device according to the configuration information corresponding to the CSI process, so that the second device obtains a corresponding channel quality measurement result by measuring the reference signal, where the channel quality measurement result includes a precoding matrix indicator (PMI). The PMI is used to indicate a serial number of a precoding matrix selected by the second device, and the selected precoding matrix is a matrix in a preset precoding matrix set, where the preset precoding matrix set is determined according to K and a quantity T of beams to be selected.

Abstract: An embodiment method, by a user equipment (UE), includes performing a channel measurement (CM) on a first subset of a set of non-zero-power (NZP) CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources and an interference measurement (IM) on at least a second subset of the set of NZP CSI-RS resources. The second subset includes one or more NZP CSI-RS ports. The IM is performed according to assumptions: each NZP CSI-RS port in the second subset corresponds to an interference transmission layer, the IM being in accordance with a set of energy per resource element ratios each associated with one NZP CSI-RS resource in the second subset; and other interference not associated with the interference transmission layers is on the first and second subsets. The method includes generating a channel state information (CSI) report based on the CM and IM and transmitting the CSI report to a network.

Abstract: An interference power measurement method and a device are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a terminal, first signaling that carries first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate n first channel state information-reference signal CSI RS resources, and a jth first CSI RS resource is associated with a power parameter Pc,j; and sending, by the terminal, a channel quality indicator CQI, where the CQI is determined based on a total interference power. Abstract: A method and apparatus for precoding matrix indicator feedback reduce a quantity of bits in the feedback. In the method, a terminal device receive a reference signal from a base station, determines a precoding matrix W in a precoding matrix set corresponding to a rank indication. W satisfies W=W1×W2×W3, W1, W2 and W3 and matrices and respectively corresponding to a first, second and third precoding matrix indicator. None of W1, W2, and W3 is an identity matrix, and the 2M columns in W1 comprise every column in W1×W2. The terminal device transmits the rank indication, the first precoding matrix indicator, the second precoding matrix indicator, and the third precoding matrix indicator to the base station. Therefore, a quantity of to-be-selected vectors is reduced by using a first-stage feedback and a second-stage feedback, thereby reducing calculation complexity of third-stage feedback, and reducing a quantity of bits in the third-stage feedback.

Abstract: This application provides a method for determining a precoding matrix set, so as to avoid a case in which a relatively large quantity of precoding matrices in a precoding matrix set cannot be used, thereby improving system performance. A terminal device receives indication information from a network device, and determines a second precoding matrix set from a first precoding matrix set whose rank is R based on the indication information. Each precoding matrix W in the first precoding matrix set satisfies W=W1×W2, the second precoding matrix set is a proper subset of the first precoding matrix set, and the second precoding matrix set does not include W=W1×W2 that satisfies the specific condition in the first precoding matrix set.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes information reporting methods and related apparatuses used to control channel state information reporting between network devices. One example method includes receiving, by a second network device, control information sent by a first network device. The control information can include a trigger signal and a channel state information type, and the trigger signal can be used to trigger the second network device to report target channel state information to the first network device. The second network device determines the target channel state information based on the channel state information type, and then reports the target channel state information to the first network device based on the trigger signal and the channel state information type.
