    摘要: A mold for horizontal continuous casting of steel to form large-format slab cross sections, particularly flat products, includes a water-cooled metal casing forming the mold cavity for a slab and a brake ring for the melt feed which is supported at the mold on the pour-in side and connects the mold with a melt supply vessel (distributor) via a connecting casting tube. In order to provide an inexpensive and particularly stable mold, the mold is closed on the pour-in side by a metal plate along a part of the free cross-sectional area of the mold cavity. The plate has one or more openings for receiving a break ring. An end plate which overlaps the metal plate is arranged in front of the metal plate in surface contact with the metal plate. The end plate is provided with openings which coincide with the openings in the metal plate with respect to position and number. Ducts for guiding cooling water are incorporated in the end plate.

    摘要: Molten metal is introduced into a tubular mold and is withdrawn from the mold in the partly solidified state. There is included a sensor to measure the behavior of the metal strand as close as possible to the mold in order to control or regulate the drive unit for the withdrawal of the strand on a continuous casting machine. For a more precise determination of the actual conditions, the movement of the strand is measured in an area close as possible to the point where the strand leaves the mold. The measurement of the movement may be made in a non-contact and non-delayed manner by the sensor which responds to radiation. The sensor is designed and positioned so that it produces an evaluatable measurement signal in response to the displacement-time behavior of the strand. The measurement signal is transmitted to a display unit and/or evaluation unit for adjustment of the drive unit in order to obtain the desired speed of withdrawal.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for the integration of an integrated circuit into a standardized software architecture for embedded systems. The method includes a definition of a computer readable standardized data structure which is completed with the properties of the integrated circuit. The completed standardized data structure is then used for the definition of a hardware module which includes the integrated circuit. The hardware module definition thus generated is exported in a form which can be imported by the standardized software architecture for embedded systems for further processing.
