摘要: A semiconductor optical amplifier includes: a laminated structure sequentially including a first compound semiconductor layer composed of GaN compound semiconductor and having a first conductivity type, a third compound semiconductor layer having a light amplification region composed of GaN compound semiconductor, and a second compound semiconductor layer composed of GaN compound semiconductor and having a second conductivity type; a second electrode formed on the second compound semiconductor layer; and a first electrode electrically connected to the first compound semiconductor layer. The laminated structure has a ridge stripe structure. When widths of the ridge stripe structure in a light output end face and the ridge stripe structure in a light incident end face are respectively Wout, and Win, Wout>Win is satisfied. A carrier non-injection region is provided in an internal region of the laminated structure from the light output end face along an axis line of the semiconductor optical amplifier.

摘要: A thermal printer has a thermal head mounted on a case main body and a platen roller confronting the thermal head. A cover member mounted to the case main body undergoes swinging movement to open and close an opening of the case main body. A slider rotatably supports the platen roller and is mounted to the cover member for linear movement on a plane including a rotational center of the platen roller and a swing center of the cover member. Engagement pieces mounted to the slider engage with engagement portions of the case main body when the cover member closes the opening of the case main body and the platen roller confronts the thermal head. A biasing member biases the slider such that the engagement pieces engage with the engagement portions of the case main body and the platen roller is brought into pressure contact with the thermal head.

摘要: In a cruise controller for a saddle-seat vehicle, it is configured to comprise desired throttle opening control execution means (ECU 110) for executing desired throttle opening control by operating the actuator (74) such that the actual throttle opening becomes the desired throttle opening, determine whether the throttle opening command APS is in a predetermined relationship with the actual throttle opening TPS (S60), and switch the cruise control to the desired throttle opening control (S50) when it is discriminated that they are in the predetermined relationship and a disable condition has been established (S62 to S66). By suitably setting the predetermined relationship, the cruise control can be disabled and shifted to the desired throttle opening control at the actual throttle opening anticipatable by the operator, so that driving feel is not impaired and no unnecessary engine output is produced upon switching to the desired throttle opening control.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a thermal printer in which a space in a back surface side of a thermal head can be made smaller, an entire width dimension can be reduced, and heat sensitive paper is sandwiched between the thermal head and a platen roller with a sufficient pressurizing force, to perform clear printing. In order to attain the above-mentioned object, there is provided a thermal printer (1) including: a case main body (2); a thermal head (6) fixed to a side wall (2b) of the case main body (2); a platen roller (7) disposed so as to oppose to a printing surface (6a) of the thermal head (6), for feeding heat sensitive paper (5) while sandwiching the heat sensitive paper (5) with the thermal head (6); a swing arm (3) swingably mounted to the case main body (2); a slider (8) mounted to a front end of the swing arm (3) so as to be capable of moving on a plane including a rotational center (C1) of the platen roller (7) and a swing center (C2) of the swing arm (3), for rotatably supporting the platen roller (7); and biasing means (9) for biasing the slider (8) in an outward direction of a swing radius direction of the swing arm (3).

When a significant external force is applied to the front end of a vehicle containing the compressor, most of the external force may be absorbed by the first compression mechanism portion of the compressor, thereby reducing or avoiding damage to the second compression mechanism. In particular, when the second drive source is an incorporated electric motor, damage to the electric motor may be reduced or avoided.

A spindle extends through a main frame and is movable in its axial direction and rotatable about its axis. A first ratchet is rotatable and axially movable together with the spindle. 摘要: The present invention teaches an apparatus for pulling a single crystal, whereby a radial temperature gradient of a seed crystal and/or a neck is reduced to a minimum so as to inhibit occurrence of thermal stress and prevent induction of dislocations, thereby resulting in an improvement in dislocation-free rate of single crystals to be pulled in cases where a single crystal is pulled with a seed crystal and/or a neck being heated using an auxiliary heating device. The apparatus comprises a crucible to be charged with a melt, a heater located around the crucible, and an auxiliary heating device including a heating section which can be located so as to surround a seed crystal in a position near and above the melt, a transfer mechanism for withdrawing the heating section from a passing area of a single crystal, and a covering section to cover a clearance between the heating section and the seed crystal extending from the heating section.
