摘要： The present invention relates to a fixing apparatus having a pair of rotary members for pinching and conveying a supporting material bearing a non-fixed toner image thereon, thereby fixing the non-fixed toner image on the supporting material and wherein a rectifier element is connected to at least one of the rotary members in a predetermined orientation, whereby the present invention prevent a toner offset that the toner on the supporting material is adhered to the rotary members.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member carrying an image corresponding to image information; an image transfer device for transferring the image on the image bearing member onto a transfer material at a transfer position, wherein the transfer device includes a charging member contactable to a back side of the transfer material and voltage application means for applying a voltage to the charging member, wherein the voltage applying device effects a constant voltage control to the charging member when an image region of the image bearing member is at the transfer position, and effects a constant current control to the charging member at least a part of the other duration, and wherein a voltage level of the constant voltage control is determined on the basis of a voltage across the transfer device during the constant current control; wherein voltage applied to the charging member by the voltage applying device or a current through the charging member by the voltage applying device is limited.

摘要： An image forming apparatus wherein a developer remaining on a photosensitive member after an image transfer process is removed by developing means, the apparatus includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a contact charging means including an electrode contacted to the photosensitive member to electrically charge the photosensitive member, the contact charging means being supplied with a bias voltage form a charging bias voltage source; exposure means for exposing the photosensitive member to form an electrostatic latent image thereon after the photosensitive member is electrically charged by the charging means; developing means for supplying the developer from a developer carrying member to a latent image portion of the photosensitive member to develop the photosensitive member and simultaneously removing the developer remaining on the photosensitive member after the transfer process and conveyed to a downstream of the contact charging means on the photosensitive member, to the developer carrying member by a potential difference between the developer carrying member supplied with a developing bias and a latent image of the photosensitive member; and control means for controlling the charging bias and a developing bias, during a preparatory pre-rotation process of the photosensitive member for preparation for an image forming operation, to maintain a potential difference between the photosensitive member and the developer carrying member at a level lower than that during normal image forming operation, by surface potentials of the developer carrying member supplied with the developing bias and of the photosensitive member charged by the charging means.
