Abstract: Examples describe use of multiple meta-data delivery schemes to provide tags that describe packets to an egress port group. A tag, that is smaller than a packet, can be associated with a packet. The tag can be stored in a memory, as a group with other tags, and the tag can be delivered to a queue associated with an egress port. Packets received at an ingress port can be as non-interleaved to reduce underrun and providing cut-through to an egress port. A shared memory can be allocated to store packets received at a single ingress port or shared to store packets from multiple ingress ports.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus relating to heterogeneous compute architecture hardware/software co-design for autonomous driving are described. In one embodiment, a heterogeneous compute architecture for autonomous driving systems (also interchangeably referred to herein as Heterogeneous Compute Architecture or “HCA” for short) integrates scalable heterogeneous processors, flexible networking, benchmarking tools, etc. to enable (e.g., system-level) designers to perform hardware and software co-design. With HCA system engineers can rapidly architect, benchmark, and/or evolve vehicle system architectures for autonomous driving. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting rogue vehicles within a plurality of vehicles connected via a vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) are provided. Sensors on each VANET vehicle provide host vehicle data and data associated with other nearby vehicles. Each VANET vehicle multicasts information that includes location, velocity, and preferred future travel path to the other VANET vehicles. Using data from sensors and data received from other VANET vehicles the host vehicle generates a dynamic set of safe vehicle operating behaviors. Nearby vehicles that do not comply with the determined safe vehicle operating behaviors or perform illegal/unsafe acts are identified as rogue vehicles. Data associated with identified rogue vehicles is transmitted to all VANET vehicles. Each VANET vehicle determines a preferred future travel path based on the received information associated with rogue vehicles, the preferred future travel path information received from other VANET vehicles, and the host vehicle's safe vehicle operating behaviors.

Abstract: A decoder having an input configured to receive a sequence of softbits presumed to correspond to a convolutionally-encoded codeword; and a decoding circuit configured to: determine, as part of a decoding process, a Maximum Likelihood (ML) survivor path in a trellis representation of the codeword; determine whether the presumed convolutionally-encoded codeword meets an early-termination criteria; and abort the decoding process if the presumed convolutionally-encoded codeword meets the early-termination criteria, continue the decoding process if the presumed convolutionally-encoded codeword fails to meet the early-termination criteria.

Abstract: A wireless device having processor circuitry; and a hardware circuit configured to implement, during an active steady-state of a Medium Access Control/Link Layer (MAC/LL) with scheduled channel access, a MAC/LL function without processor circuitry intervention, wherein the steady-state is a state that is control packet transmission free for managed connections in connection oriented communications or a continuous broadcast or scan operation in connectionless communications.

Abstract: A transmitter is provided to address transmitter non-idealities. The transmitter uses a series of envelope detectors to detect imbalances between an I branch and a Q branch of an I/Q modulator that is implemented as part of the transmitter's front end, and these detected imbalances may be compensated by pre-distorting digital baseband signals fed to the I branch and the Q branch. The transmitter may also use a series of envelope detectors to detect nonlinearities in one or more of the transmitter's amplification stages, and these detected nonlinearities may be compensated by modifying the baseband signals via a digital linearization pre-compensator. The transmitter may also support both implementations in either a time-switched or simultaneous manner, allowing for I/Q imbalances and nonlinearities to be addressed using a single transmitter design.

Abstract: A method is described including performing gestural training to extract training signals representing a gesture from each sensor in a sensor array, storing the training signals for each signal corresponding to the gesture in a library, receiving real time signals from the sensor array and comparing the real time output signals to corresponding training signals within the library to determine if a gesture has been recognized.

Abstract: This application discusses apparatus and methods of saving power using a quadrature receiver by enabling a single string reception mode of the quadrature receiver. In an example, a receiver for receiving communication information can include an analog front end configured to receive a modulated, information-carrying radio frequency signal at a first frequency band and to provide a digital representation of the modulated, information-carrying radio frequency signal at a second frequency band, a digital front end configured to receive the digital representation at the second frequency and to provide the communication information, for example, to a baseband processor. In a first processing mode of the receiver, the analog front end can provide either one of in-phase symbol information of the modulated, information-carrying radio frequency signal or quadrature symbol information of the modulated, information-carrying radio frequency signal at the second frequency band.
