Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture to track movement of sports implements are disclosed herein. An example sensing unit disclosed herein is to be coupled to a sports implement. The sensing unit includes an inertial measurement unit to obtain movement data of said sports implement during a swing of said sports implement and a swing analyzer to determine whether the swing is a horizontal shot or a vertical shot based on the movement data.

The fitness sensor may link to a Bluetooth link controller, a communications hub and numerous environmental and physical sensors in a platform that is conducive to low power utilization. Awakening a host processor only when valid content-oriented sensor data is available may assist to reduce a footprint of power consumption and time spent in computer processing fitness models.

Abstract: Technologies for determining a user's location by a mobile computing device include detecting, based on sensed inertial characteristics of the mobile computing device, that a user of the mobile computing device has taken a physical step in a direction. The mobile computing device determines a directional heading of the mobile computing device in the direction and a variation of an orientation of the mobile computing device relative to a previous orientation of the mobile computing device at a previous physical step of the user based on the sensed inertial characteristics. Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for image segmentation utilizing context, such as with a machine learning (ML) model that injects context into various training stages. Many embodiments utilize one or more of an encoder-decoder model topology and select criteria and parameters in hyper-parameter optimization (HPO) to conduct the best model neural architecture search (NAS). Some embodiments are particularly directed to resizing context frames to a resolution that corresponds with a particular stage of decoding.
