    摘要: The present application relates to a method for providing location information of a terminal (30) and in a communication network (10). According to the method, a location information indicating a location of the terminal (30) in the communication network (10) is determined by the terminal (30). Furthermore, a time information indicating a time at which the terminal (30) is located at the location indicated by the location information is determined by the terminal (30). The location information and time information is transmitted by the terminal (30) to a base station (20) or to another terminal (30) of the communication network (10).

    摘要: Numerous mobile devices report their respective locations to a server which collects the location reports to provide real-time pedestrian traffic information, e.g., as a map that shows locations of individual mobile devices. Distribution of mobile devices in a geographic area more closely represents overall population locations and densities. Each device is identified by a digital fingerprint, formed from a number of system and device configuration parameters. Each mobile device is configured to periodically report its location, e.g., at a predetermined time interval and/or whenever the mobile device determines its location for another reason. A known location of a wireless network access point to which a mobile device is connected can serve as an estimated location of the mobile device.

    摘要: In non-limiting examples, wireless scan data collected from a processing device is directly mapped to venues. Wireless scan data is received from a processing device where the wireless scan data comprises at least a first identifier of a wireless connection. Venues associated with the first identifier are identified from a mapping of wireless identifiers to venues based on active validation data associated with particular venues including historical wireless scan data of the particular venues. The plurality of venues are ranked according to a likelihood that the processing device is located at a particular venue based on evaluating the active validation data including the historical wireless scan data from the mapping. A predicted venue that the processing device is located at is determined based on the ranking of the plurality of venues. Other examples are also described.

    摘要: A method for determining location history of a mobile device is provided. A plurality of states corresponding to a plurality of reachable road segments associated with a road network is determined based on one or more initial estimated locations of the mobile device. Mobility model defining transition probabilities between the determined plurality of states is generated. Time series network data associated with the mobile device is received from a network data source. The time series network data is associated with a given period of time. The time series network data is processed using the generated mobility model to estimate an actual route most likely travelled by the mobile device during the given time period.
