Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a network to indicate beamforming information to user equipment (UE) for identification and measurement of reference signals. For example, a network may indicate whether all the reference signals are beamformed or not, or which reference signals are using the same transmission beamforming on the time domain, the frequency domain, or both time and frequency domains. In other embodiments, a network may indicate combining or averaging information to a UE.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for delivering UE capability indication to a positioning server in a wireless communication network. A user equipment (UE) or access note (AN) may notify a positioning server of UE capability information associated with positioning measurements so that the positioning server may determine corresponding positioning measurement configurations based on acknowledgement of such UE capability information in terms of the positioning measurement. Embodiments describe UE capability indications to a positioning server that may enable flexible deployment and integration of various types of UEs. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Beamforming measurement techniques based on PSS/SSS are disclosed. An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode a configuration message from a source serving cell, the configuration message indicating signal selection criteria for cell measurement reporting. A synchronization signal (SS) burst set associated with one or more transmission/reception points (TRPs) within a neighboring cell is decoded, the SS burst set including a plurality of SS blocks. A cell beamforming measurement signal associated with the neighboring cell is generated, based on signal measurements of the SS blocks and the signal selection criteria. A radio resource management (RRM) measurement report message is encoded for transmission to the serving cell, the measurement report message including the cell beamforming measurement signal. A handover command message for initiating a handover to the neighboring cell is decoded, the handover command based on the cell beamforming measurement signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for handling different timing advance (TA) adjustment delays corresponding to different transmission time intervals (TTIs) from different serving cells under carrier aggregation or dual connectivity. A user equipment (UE) selects and implements one TA adjustment delay even if two or more serving cells transmit with different TTIs. In one embodiment, the UE uses a predetermined TA adjustment delay for each of a plurality of TA commands received from serving cells with different TTI lengths. In another embodiment, the UE uses a TA adjustment delay that is a maximum value of the TA adjustment delays for the TTIs from the different serving cells.

Abstract: A new radio (NR) capable user equipment (UE) to determine whether to skip cellular measurements using s-Measure configuration based on measurements of a synchronization signal (SS) block (SSB) and/or Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) using an s-Measure configuration. For example, an s-Measure configuration can include a reference signal received power (RSRP) value and an indicator whether to apply the value to an NR SS block or a CSI-RS. If the value meets or exceeds the measurement for the indicated signal measurement, the s-Measure is satisfied. For example, in an embodiment, the network configures a single s-Measure configuration (e.g., either an NR SS s-Measure configuration or a CSI-RS s-Measure configuration), which when satisfied the UE does not perform further measurements.
