摘要： This invention relates to a process for preparing pigment compositions comprising (a) treating an organic pigment with (1) about 0.1 to about 100% by weight, relative to the organic pigment, of a sterically hindered and/or bulky primary amine, (2) 0 to about 100% by weight, relative to the organic pigment, of a surfactant, and (3) about 5 to about 15 parts by weight per part by weight of the organic pigment of a liquid in which the organic pigment is substantially insoluble, thereby forming a suspension of the surface-treated pigment composition in the liquid; (b) exposing the suspension to cavitating conditions; and (c) collecting the pigment composition.

摘要： This invention relates to a process for the preparation of quinacridone pigments by(a) exposing a reaction mixture containing(i) 2,5-dianilinoterephthalic acid, 2,5-dianilino-3,6-dihydroterephthalic acid, 2,5-dianilino-3,6-dioxo-1,4-cyclohexadiene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid, and/or derivatives thereof,(ii) about 3 to about 20 parts by weight, per part of component (a)(i), of a dehydrating agent, and(iii) 0 to about 20 parts by weight, per part of component (a)(i), of a pigment additive,to microwave radiation under conditions that raise the bulk temperature of the reaction mixture to no more than about 250.degree. C., with the proviso that if component (a)(i) is a 2,5-dianilino-3,6-dihydroterephthalic acid or derivative thereof, reaction step (a) additionally comprises an oxidation step;(b) drowning the reaction mixture in about 3 to about 15 parts by weight, per part of component (a)(i), of a liquid in which the quinacridone pigment is substantially insoluble;(c) isolating the quinacridone pigment; and(d) optionally, conditioning the pigment.

摘要： This invention relates to a process for the preparation of quinacridone pigments by (a) heating, at a temperature of about 80.degree. C. to about 145.degree. C., a reaction mixture containing (i) 2,5-dianilinoterephthalic acid, a 2,5-dianilino-3,6-dihydroterephthalic acid ester, and/or a derivative thereof, (ii) about 3 to about 15 parts by weight, per part of component (a)(i), of a dehydrating agent, and (iii) about 0.1 to about 15 percent by weight, based on component (a)(i), of one or more non-quinacridone pigments, with the proviso that if component (a)(i) is a 2,5-dianilino-3,6-dihydroterephthalic acid ester or a derivative thereof, reaction step (a) additionally comprises an oxidation step; (b) drowning the reaction mixture from step (a) by adding said reaction mixture to about 3 to about 15 parts by weight, per part of component (a)(i), of a liquid in which the quinacridone pigment is substantially insoluble; (c) isolating the quinacridone pigment; (d) optionally, conditioning the quinacridone pigment; and (e) optionally, blending the resultant pigment with one or more quinacridone derivatives.

摘要： An adhesive composition includes one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, a polymerization initiator and a polymerization accelerator for the one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers. A system for treating living tissue includes a first reservoir containing one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, a second reservoir in a non-contacting relationship with the first reservoir containing a polymerization initiator and accelerator for the one or more polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomers, and an applicator capable of combining the polymerizable cyanoacrylate monomer and the polymerization initiator and accelerator to form an adhesive composition and then applying the adhesive composition to living tissue. The initiator may be a quaternary ammonium salt, and the accelerator may be a trihydroxy tertiary amine.
