Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) unlicensed band (NR-U) communications, the processing circuitry is to decode downlink control information (DCI) received via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The DCI provides allocation of uplink frequency resources of a transmission bandwidth. The allocation is a block interleaved frequency division multiple access (B-IFDMA) allocation including a plurality of interleaved physical resource blocks (PRBs) forming M number of interlaces within the transmission bandwidth, and N number of PRBs within each interlace of the M number of interlaces, with N and M being integers greater than or equal to 1. Data is encoded for transmission to a base station via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the B-IFDMA allocation of uplink frequency resources.

Abstract: Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and User Equipment (UE) are generally described herein. The gNB may transmit control signaling to configure transmission of position reference signals (PRSs) by a plurality of transmit-receive points (TRPs). The gNB may receive, from the UE, for each of the TRPs, a set of signal location parameters (SLPs). The gNB may perform an iterative process to estimate a position of the UE. For a current iteration, the gNB may: determine a current estimate of the position of the UE based on a current plurality of sets of SLPs; and determine a cost function for each of the current plurality of sets of SLPs. The gNB may determine, based on the cost functions, a next plurality of sets of SLPs for a next estimate of the position of the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide techniques for indication of a system frame number (SFN) in and/or associated with a random access response (RAR) for a random access procedure. A UE may transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble in a PRACH occasion (e.g., in a Msg1 or MsgA) and monitor for a message (e.g., Msg2 or MsgB) in a RAR window. The RAR window may be greater than one frame. The Msg2 or MsgB (e.g., a downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) RAR) may indicate the SFN associated with the RACH occasion. The UE may determine whether the message is for the UE or another UE based on the SFN. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
