摘要: Embodiments herein provide techniques for indication of a system frame number (SFN) in and/or associated with a random access response (RAR) for a random access procedure. A UE may transmit a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble in a PRACH occasion (e.g., in a Msg1 or MsgA) and monitor for a message (e.g., Msg2 or MsgB) in a RAR window. The RAR window may be greater than one frame. The Msg2 or MsgB (e.g., a downlink control information (DCI) and/or a medium access control (MAC) RAR) may indicate the SFN associated with the RACH occasion. The UE may determine whether the message is for the UE or another UE based on the SFN. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

摘要: An apparatus and system to permit a UE idle or inactive mode to operate as an URLLC initiating device operating in a shared spectrum in a PRACH procedure are described. The UE receives a gNB control signal that contains an indication that the UE is able to operate as an initiating device and in response transmits a physical random access channel (PRACH) message within a Fixed Frame Period (FFP) of the UE. Transmission of the PRACH message is contingent on non-overlap of the PRACH message transmission with the idle period of a gNB FFP.

摘要: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions for execution by one or more processors of a UE. The instructions configure the UE for small data transmission (SDT) in a 5G NR network and cause the UE to perform operations comprising detecting while in an RRC_Inactive state, a radio link failure during a first SDT of UL data to a base station. A secure key for a second SDT is generated based on the radio link failure. A configuration message including an indication of the second SDT is transmitted to the base station. A response message including a UL grant is received from the base station. The UL data is encoded for the second SDT using the secure key. The second SDT is performed using the UL grant while the UE is in the RRC_Inactive state.

摘要: An apparatus for use in a UE includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory. To configure the UE for a 4-step random access procedure with a gNB in a 5G-NR network, the processing circuitry is to encode a first message for transmission to the gNB using a PRACH, the first message including a random access preamble. A second message received from the gNB in response to the first message is decoded. The second message includes a MAC RAR with an uplink (UL) grant and an indication of an LBT procedure type or a channel access and CP extension. An LBT procedure based on the LBT procedure type or the channel access and CP extension provided in the indication is performed. Data is encoded for transmission to the gNB based on successful completion of the LBT procedure, the transmission using a PUSCH, and a UL resource indicated by the UL grant.
