    Abstract: A detection device includes a substrate, first electrodes, second electrodes, and a conductor. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first electrodes are provided in a display area of the substrate and detect the position of an object being in contact with or in proximity to the first surface side of the substrate or pressure of the object being in contact with the first surface side. The second electrodes are provided along at least one side of the outer periphery of the display area. The conductor is provided on the second surface side of the substrate apart from the substrate and generates an electrostatic capacitor between the conductor and the second electrodes.

    Abstract: A force detection apparatus includes: a force detector that includes an electrode and a conductor facing the electrode across a first and a second layers and outputs a force signal value before correction; and a force detection controller outputting a force signal value after correction having a linear relationship with a force. In a first range of force in which the first layer is deformed and the second layer is not deformed, the force detection controller calculates the force signal value after correction, based on a product of the force and a first constant. In a second range of force in which the first and second layers are deformed, the force detection controller calculates the force signal value after correction, based on a sum of a product of a threshold and the first constant and a product of a difference between the force and the threshold and a second constant.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a touch detection apparatus includes: a plurality of drive electrodes, wherein at least one of the drive electrodes includes a plurality of subdivided electrodes; a plurality of first touch detection electrodes; a second touch detection electrode; a first shift register circuit in which a plurality of first shift signal output circuits are sequentially coupled to one another; a second shift register circuit in which a plurality of second shift signal output circuits are sequentially coupled to one another; and a selection circuit that supplies a signal of the first shift register circuit to the drive electrode in a first mode, and supplies a signal of the second shift register circuit to the subdivided electrode in a second mode.

    Abstract: A performance of a display device having an input device is improved. A display device includes: an electro-optical layer; a first driving electrode and a second driving electrode which drives the electro-optical layer; a driver chip which outputs a video signal; a switch circuit which is arranged outside the driver chip, which selects a potential to be supplied to the second driving electrode, and which includes a first switch element and a second switch element; a shift register circuit connected to the switch circuit; and a detection circuit which detects that an object is close or in contact. Each of the first switch element and the second switch element is selectively turned ON or OFF by the shift register circuit. The detection circuit is electrically connected to the first switch element and the second switch element.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display apparatus with a touch detection function includes: a display device including a display region in which a plurality of pixels are arranged; a pixel signal line that transmits a pixel signal to the pixel; outer display region wiring including wiring that is electrically coupled to the pixel signal line and extends along a predetermined direction outside the display region; and a touch detection electrode arranged at a position overlapping the outer display region wiring in a non-contact state, a longitudinal direction of the touch detection electrode being along a direction intersecting with the predetermined direction.

    Abstract: An image quality of a display device is improved. The display device includes: a display unit having a display functional layer; a cover member having a front surface and a back surface positioned on an opposite side of the front surface and covering the display unit; and a polarizing plate having a front surface so as to oppose the back surface of the cover member through a space spreading along the back surface of the cover member. Also, a reflection suppressing layer reducing reflected light which is visually recognized on the display surface side is formed on either one of the back surface of the cover member and the front surface of the polarizing plate.
