Abstract:
A four-stroke opposed piston engine includes a rotating cylinder with a circumference and an aperture defined through the circumference, first and second opposing pistons, optional first and second opposing cylindrical spacers, first and second opposing piston caps, a spark rod that bisects the cylinder with insulating elements, and a pair of opposing gears.
Abstract:
An earplug mounting device for insertion into the human ear adapted to support electronic telecommunications equipment, other audio equipment or visual aids is disclosed. A main body portion of semi-rigid resilient material is insertable into the outer ear of a user and has a main body passageway therethrough. A snap connection is provided between the main body and a boom, which boom extends forwardly therefrom. A boom passageway is in air communication with the main body passageway. A pressure chamber formed along the boom passageway, with a vent providing air flow communication with the outside of the chamber, to equalize air pressure between outside air and an inner ear is provided. A receiving tube, connected to a radio receiver, is rotatably connected to the boom by a second snap connection utilizing a fitting having a third passageway in communication with the first two passageways.
Abstract:
An earplug mounting device individually molded to the shape of a user's ear is adapted to fit tightly therein and support a forwardly extending boom from which can be suspended audio or visual aids of various types and configurations. The earplug mounting device may be further adapted to conduct sound from audio communication devices to the inner ear while being of such construction as to dampen outside ambient noise.
Abstract:
An ignition source for initiating combustion is provided. The ignition source includes an electrical delivery conductor mounted in a delivery conductor mounting structure. An electrical ground conductor is mounted in a ground conductor mounting structure and extends from the ground conductor mounting structure to a point proximate the delivery conductor to define an ignition spark gap between the delivery conductor and the ground conductor. At least one of the delivery conductor and the ground conductor is mounted so as to be positionable with respect to the other one of the delivery conductor and the ground conductor to selectively adjust a width of the ignition spark gap.

Abstract:
A protective vest is disclosed having a body portion wrappable and securable about a torso of a wearer and a head portion hingeably connected thereto for securing about the head of the wearer. The body and head portions both include respective quick connection means for easy entry into the vest prior to an aircraft crash. A multiple layer laminate material forms the head and body portions and gives thermal, puncture and shock absorption protection. The entire vest can be folded and stored within the head portion in a compact pack.
