Abstract: There is provided an EL display device of a color filter system which obtains sufficient brightness and contrast while making it difficult to generate a color mixture even if pixels become fine. An EL display device 100 according to the present invention includes a first substrate 1, a circuit layer 2 formed on the first substrate 1, a color selection reflection layer 11 formed in an upper layer of the circuit layer 2, lower electrodes 5 formed in an upper layer of the color selection reflection layer 11, a white light emission EL layer 7 formed in an upper layer of the lower electrodes 5, an upper electrode 8 formed in an upper layer of the EL layer 7, and a sealing layer 9 formed in an upper layer of the upper electrode 8.

Abstract: The aim is to improve the bending resistance a display device. The display device in one embodiment includes a substrate including a first surface and a second surface and a curved part between the first surface and the second surface, a display element arranged on the first surface, a conducting layer connected with the display element and extending to the second surface from the first surface via the curved part, a plurality of protective layers having a lower ductility than the substrate and arranged in the substrate side and/or opposite side to the substrate side with respect to the conducting layer and along the curved part, wherein each of the plurality of protective layers spreading over the curved part, to a certain region of the first surface side from the curved part, and to a certain region of the second side from the curved part.

Abstract: A display device includes a first organic layer, a first inorganic layer, a second organic layer, a second inorganic layer, and a thin film transistor. The first organic layer has a roughened top surface. The first inorganic layer has a roughened top surface and is disposed to have a roughened bottom surface that is in contact with the roughened top surface of the first organic layer. The second organic layer has a roughened bottom surface that is in contact with the roughened top surface of the first inorganic layer. The second inorganic layer is disposed to be in contact with the top surface of the second organic layer. The thin film transistor is disposed on the top surface of the second inorganic layer.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of pixels, each including a thin-film transistor and a pixel electrode formed above a substrate, and an organic insulation film formed between one electrode of the thin-film transistor and the pixel electrode. The one electrode and the pixel electrode are connected through a contact hole formed in the organic insulation film, and a sidewall of the contact hole, which is made of the organic insulation film, is tapered. An underlying layer beneath the organic insulation film, in contact with to the organic insulation film, includes a lowermost plane extending substantially in parallel to a plane of the substrate and an uppermost plane extending substantially in parallel to the plane of the substrate.
