    摘要: Communication between a base station and remote stations is partitioned into frames, each including a first frequency reuse zone having a number of slots. Slots are allocated by assigning a first data rate to each remote station for communication using the first frequency reuse zone. Each remote station is assigned a respective slot allocation comprising a first number of slots of the first frequency reuse zone and has a weighted data rate dependent on the first data rate and the respective slot allocation. The slot allocations are determined so as to maximize the minimum of the weighted data rates of the remote stations. Slots may be allocated using a data rate assigner to assign a first data rate to each remote station for communication using slots of the first frequency reuse zone, and using a slot allocation provider to provide a respective slot allocation for each remote station.

The corrected modulation and coding scheme is to be used to generate one or more packets. The method also includes determining an error rate corresponding to packets previously transmitted over the communication link, and adjusting the correction factor based on the determined error rate. Adjusting the correction factor includes incrementing or decrementing the correction factor.

A described technique includes receiving a signal that represents concurrent wireless data communications, where the signal is based on superimposed signals modulated using different respective constellations; detecting a first signal from the received signal over a first combined constellation, the combined constellation being based on the respective constellations; modifying the received signal based on the first detected signal to remove a signal contribution associated with the first detected signal; and detecting a second signal from the modified received signal over a second constellation. The second constellation can be based on the respective constellations absent a constellation of the respective constellations that is associated with the first detected signal.

    摘要: Systems and methods are provided for computing a relative path delay between multiple transmitting source to select a source that is closest to a receiving device. Preamble sequences unique to each source are received by a receiving device. The receiving devices determines based on a channel estimation or differential algorithm which transmitting source is closer to the receiving device. The channel estimation algorithm computes the path delay based on a channel estimation correlation at different preamble sequence indices. The differential algorithm computes the path delay based on a correlation between the received and transmitted preamble sequences at different preamble sequence indices. The receiving device selects the closer of the multiple sources to be the source from which to extract data.

    摘要: Communication circuitry that employs persistent scheduling conventionally uses one initiation command to establish the modulation and coding scheme (“MCS”) that will be used for transmission of subsequent payload bursts, at least until it is time to send another initiation command. Inefficiency can result if transmission channel conditions change between initiation commands. To avoid such inefficiency, the disclosed circuitry maintains a count of unsuccessful transmission attempts. When the count deviates from a predetermined reference standard, the circuitry automatically and autonomously makes an appropriate change in the MCS selection without waiting for the next initiation command. Both transmitter and receiver circuits independently operate in the same way at the same time so that both ends of a communication link remain coordinated with one another.
