摘要： A coin receiving apparatus for a vending machine capable of accurately checking a coin diameter as well as other coin characteristics such as material and a surface pattern for discriminating a true coin from a false one and receiving the former and rejecting the latter. The diameter and other coin characteristics are detected by examining peak values of output waveshapes of coin detectors by means of a window circuit. A single window circuit is provided for each denomination and upper and lower limit values of the window circuit are automatically changed in accordance with a coin characteristic under examination. Frequencies of excitation signals of the various coin detectors are also automatically changed. If a plurality of coins are successively inserted in the coin receiving apparatus without a sufficient time interval, discrimination of the inserted coins is inhibited and the inserted coins are returned.

摘要： A water drain device of a revolving electric machine, wherein an oil reservoir chamber is formed at a position adjacent a bearing housing chamber in a housing having a rotor housing chamber and the bearing housing chamber, a rotor in the rotor housing chamber is supported by bearings in the bearing housing chambers, and an oil seal in slidable contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rotor is provided at a position adjacent the oil reservoir chamber. In the housing, an oil discharge channel opens in a direction in which gravity drains oil in the oil reservoir chamber out of the housing, a water discharge channel connects the rotor housing chamber and the vicinity of an outlet of the oil discharge channel, and an air vent channel connects the rotor housing chamber to the oil discharge channel through the oil reservoir chamber. A drain cover forming a fluid discharge channel is mounted in the vicinity of the outlet of the oil discharge channel and an outlet of the water discharge channel. The drain cover is inserted into a drain cover mounting groove. At least a pair of baffle plates are provided in a hollow portion of the drain cover.

摘要： For use in a swirl-producing recombustion chamber of a Diesel engine, a glow plug comprises a shell which can be screwed into an engine block so as not to protrude into the precombustion chamber and a cylindrically shaped heating head attached to a plunger which is received in the shell and can be electromagnetically or hydraulically moved relative to the fixed shell. The heating head can be protruded from the shell so as to extend into a central region of the precombustion chamber when preheating of air is necessary but, at other times, can be retracted almost entirely into the shell so as not to obstruct violent swirling of air in the precombustion chamber.

摘要： The grasping apparatus includes a grasping portion for grasping a workpiece. This grasping portion has i) pawl portions having squeezing portions that squeeze the workpiece, and ii) contact portions, each of which has an inner bag made of elastic material, and a granular substance that is filled in the inner bag. The contact portions are attached to portions of the squeezing portions that contact the workpiece, and harden the granular substance while keeping it in an appropriate shape by increasing a volume ratio of the granular substance to an inner volume of the inner bags. Retaining portions that have concavo-convex shapes are formed on the attaching surfaces that are portions of the squeezing portions that the contact portions attach to.
