The document reading unit is configured to turn to openably/closably cover an upper portion of the image forming apparatus body. The document cover is configured to turn to openably/closably cover a document loading surface at a top surface of the document reading unit. The image forming unit is housed in the image forming apparatus body, the image forming unit being configured to form an image on a paper sheet based on the image data. The reading-unit-supporting shaft is configured to pivotably support the document reading unit. The cover-supporting shaft is configured to pivotably support the document cover. Both the reading-unit-supporting shaft and the cover-supporting shaft are mounted to the image forming apparatus body.
Abstract:
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet conveying path, a first conveying roller pair, a second conveying roller pair and a sheet guiding member. The sheet conveying path conveys a sheet in a first direction, and then, conveys the sheet in a second direction. The first conveying roller pair conveys the sheet in the first direction. The second conveying roller pair is located at a downstream side from the first conveying roller pair to convey the sheet to the second direction from the first direction. The sheet guiding member is located between the first conveying roller pair and second conveying roller pair so as to advance and retreat to the sheet conveying path, and then, in an advance state, to come into contact with a sheet face of the sheet conveyed while being bridged across the first conveying roller pair and second conveying roller pair.
Abstract:
An image reading portion includes a light emitting portion and a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements. The light emitting portion emits detection light to a target area extending over a surface of a conveying belt and a pair of off-belt areas outside the conveying belt in a width direction. The image reading portion outputs a plurality of pixel data items. A reference member forms a pair of boundary lines by the difference in reflectance of the detection light at a pair of reference positions in the pair of off-belt areas. A calibration portion identifies data items corresponding to the pair of boundary lines in the plurality of pixel data items obtained by the image reading portion so as to correct reference position data representing a correspondence relationship between the plurality of pixel data items and positions in the width direction.
Abstract:
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a housing, a cap unit, a protrusion and a guide part. The recording head has an ink ejecting port on a lower face. The housing supports the recording head. The cap unit includes a cap. The cap unit is inserted into a space below the recording head in a predetermined direction to be attached to the housing and to cover the lower face of the recording head with the cap. The protrusion is protruded from a lower portion of the housing on a rear side in the predetermined direction more downward than the lower face of the recording head. The guide part is formed in an upper portion of the cap unit on the rear side in the predetermined direction and comes into contact with the protrusion so as to guide insertion and removal of the cap unit.
Abstract:
A cap member includes a cap portion and a support member. The cap portion has a bottom surface portion and a side surface portion. The support member supports the bottom surface portion of the cap member. The bottom surface portion is provided with a groove portion defined by a first rib projecting from an upper surface of the bottom surface portion. A lid member which covers the groove portion is provided on, and in close contact with. an upper end of the first rib. The groove portion and the lid member define an air passage through which air passes. One end portion of the air passage communicates with an inner space of the cap member, and the other end portion of the air passage communicates with an outside of the cap portion.
Abstract:
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a waste ink tray, an ink inflow section, an ink detecting section, and a controller. The recording head ejects ink. The waste ink tray recovers the ink. The ink inflow section is located on the waste ink tray. The ink flows into the ink inflow section. The ink detecting section outputs a detection signal indicating whether there is the ink or not. The ink inflow section has a first inflow opening and a second inflow opening. The second inflow opening is located at a position higher than a position of the first inflow opening. The ink detecting section detects whether or not the ink has flown into the second inflow opening. The controller, upon receiving the detection signal, detects that the first inflow opening is clogged.
Abstract:
An ink-jet recording apparatus of the present disclosure includes a recording head, a cap portion, and a moisture-retaining agent supply mechanism. The cap portion caps the recording head. The moisture-retaining agent supply mechanism includes a moisture-retaining agent housing portion that houses a moisture-retaining agent to be supplied into the cap portion, a communication path through which the moisture-retaining agent being supplied from the moisture-retaining agent housing portion to the cap portion passes, a moisture-retaining agent tank that houses the moisture-retaining agent in a liquid state, a supply path through which the moisture-retaining agent being supplied from the moisture-retaining agent tank to the moisture-retaining agent housing portion passes, and a discharge path through which part of the moisture-retaining agent passes, which has overflowed inside the moisture-retaining agent housing portion and returns from the moisture-retaining agent housing portion to the moisture-retaining agent tank.
Abstract:
A fixing device includes first and second rollers, a pressure adjustment mechanism, a drive input gear, a ratchet mechanism, and a transmission mechanism. The pressure adjustment mechanism changes a pressing posture of the first and second rollers. The drive input gear device receives a torque of a first rotational direction around an axis of the gear device and another toque of a second rotational direction. The ratchet mechanism, when the drive input gear device receives the torque of the first rotational direction, transmits the torque to the first roller, and in the case of the torque of the second rotational direction, suspends a torque transmission. When the drive input gear device receives the torque of the second rotational direction, the transmission mechanism exerts a driving force to the pressure adjustment mechanism. The drive input gear device includes a housing portion housing a part of the ratchet mechanism.
Abstract:
A sheet feed cassette includes an end cursor, a pair of gears, and a pair of racks. The end cursor regulates a rear end position of stored paper sheets in the sheet feed direction. The end cursor is slidable in the conveyance direction. The pair of gears are rotatably provided on a lower surface of a base portion of the end cursor and have the same module and the same number of teeth. The pair of racks are provided on a bottom surface of a cassette main body in parallel with each other along a slide direction of the end cursor. The pair of racks respectively mesh with the pair of gears. This makes it possible to prevent a defect such as skewing, a folded edge, or a wrinkle from occurring, allowing the end cursor to slide smoothly with excellent operability.
Abstract:
A liquid leakage detection device includes a first absorption layer, a second absorption layer, and a pair of terminals. The first absorption layer absorbs liquid. The second absorption layer is stacked on the first absorption layer, and absorbs the liquid. The pair of terminals are in contact only with the second absorption layer.
