    摘要: An integrated radar system includes a processing module and a radar device. The radar device includes an antenna module, a configurable shaping module, and a configurable transceiver module. The processing module generates an outbound signal and a control signal to configure the integrated radar system. The configured transceiver module converts the outbound signal into an outbound wireless signal. The configured shaping module shapes the outbound wireless signal into a shaped signal. The antenna module transmits the shaped signal and then receives an inbound radar signal. The configured shaping module shapes the inbound radar signal into an inbound wireless signal. The configured transceiver module converts the inbound wireless signal into an inbound symbol stream. The processing module determines location information regarding an object based on the inbound symbol stream.

    摘要: A tunable projected artificial magnetic minor (PAMM) includes a plurality of artificial magnetic minor (AMM) cells and a control module. The AMM cells collectively produce an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) having a geometric shape a distance from a surface of the tunable PAMM for an electromagnetic signal in a given frequency range. The control module is operably coupled to the plurality of AMM cells and provides control information to one or more of the AMM cells to tune at least one of the geometric shape of the AMC and the distance of the AMC from the surface of the tunable PAMM.

    摘要: Space-Time-State Block Coded MIMO communication system using reconfigurable antennas. One or more antennas are operates in accordance with a Space-Time-State Block Code (STS-BC) to effectuate channel coding of a signal being transmitted wirelessly between communication devices. In accordance with such an STS-BC, one or more antennas (being reconfigurable in nature) of a communication device are reconfigured in different radiation states. From some perspectives, this may be viewed as performing three-dimensional channel coding, in that, in addition to achieving at least time diversity of signals being transmitted (and also potentially including spatial diversity), state diversity may be achieved by adapting one or more characteristics of one or more antennas within the communication device. Such an STS-BC may operate in an open loop configuration without requiring any feedback from another communication device to which signals are transmitted. If desired, feedback may be employed for adaptively modifying an STS-BC (or selecting another STS-BC).
