Abstract:
The invention relates to a mechanical unit which by great flexibility enables the arranging and positioning of an electronic unit containing a screen, e.g. a TV, in such a way that the display surface of the unit can be disposed optimally with respect to the comfort of the user. By the indicated invention is achieved a large degree of freedom with regard to rotating and tilting the unit to relevant positions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing chewing gum granules. The method comprises at least the steps of feeding a gum composition including at least gum base into an extruder (2), pressurizing the gum composition in the extruder, extruding the gum composition through a die plate (5), and cutting the extruded gum composition in a liquid filled chamber (4). The extruded gum composition comprises at least 71% Wt. gum base and the cut granules are included in compressed gum tablets. The invention further relates to a chewing gum product, and to a chewing gum granulating system.
Abstract:
A package (1) for measured amounts of different photographic chemicals, which are to be stored apart and which are to be discharged simultaneously with a view to stirring into liquid, comprises an outer membrane (4) and at least one partition wall (5) that divides the chamber delimited by the outer membrane into two compartments (3,3). According to the invention, the package comprises a storage portion (12) and a neck portion (13), said partition wall extending across both portions, and those portions of the compartments which are disposed within the storage portion essentially containing the full, measured amounts of chemicals. The neck portion is so designed that a single cut along the cutting line (11) opens both chambers. The neck portion has such length that the chemicals may be retained in the package while the openings are immersed below a liquid surface to allow subsequent discharge of the amounts into the liquid without contacting the ambient air and without contacting each other before they have been discharged into the liquid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a control circuit for controlling the speed ratio of a lead motor and a follower motor. The outputs of pulse generators driven by the motors are compared by being fed the positive and negative inputs of a bidirectional counter which outputs a positive or negative value indicative of the sensed speed ratio. A digital/analog converter driven by the counter effectively controls the speed of the follower motor pursuant to the sensed speed ratio.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a system for optimizing the performance of a loudspeaker system as perceived by user. The physical part of the speaker system is adjustable which enables the speaker units to be placed in positions that imply maximal acoustical performance. This is obtained by combined means to: 1) bring the speaker in a specified position and 2) apply accordingly position dependant individual acoustical filters inserted in the signal path to each individual speaker.
Abstract:
A multifunction unit for control of multimedia equipment; the unit might act as a stand-alone device or being integrated into the multimedia equipment. Different individual combinations of individual objects enable for different functional capabilities. The multifunction unit for control of multimedia equipment has access to external sources via standard network interfaces and protocols.
Abstract:
Apparatus for measuring accumulated and instant rate of material loss or material gain of metal elements for the detection of metal deposition and corrosion includes a metal probe that is inserted into a measurement environment, causing the probe to experience metal deposition or corrosion. The probe has a corrosion-resistant first section and a corrodible second section. A temperature-compensated circuit receives an input signal from each of the first and second sections of the probe, whereby the circuit maintains a substantially constant voltage across the first section and generates a reference signal and a measurement signal. The circuit conditions and converts the reference signal and the measurement signal to produce first and second digitized output signals for inputting to a microprocessor.
Abstract:
A process for obtaining a package containing at least two mutually reactive materials comprises the steps of introducing the reactive materials into an envelope suitable for vacuum packing, placing the reactive materials within said envelope in separate layers with at least one intervening separating layer of a material which is inert relative to the adjacent layer of a reactive material, evacuating and sealing the envelope.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a DC control circuit for controlling the speed and rotary direction of a three-phase asynchronous motor. The circuit has an inverter section having three branches with a pair of switch elements in series in each of the branches. The inverter section has a common extinguishing switch element in shunt with the three branches. A speed determining frequency generator is responsive to the voltage of the DC supply and an ignition signal generator for operating the inverter switch elements is driven by the frequency generator. An extinction signal generator for operating the common extinguishing switch element is also driven by the frequency generator. A reversing circuit section between the ignition signal generator and the inverter branches has two states for exchanging the control lines of the inverter switch elements in at least two of the branches. A latching unit for selecting either of the two reversing states is connected to and subservient to the frequency generator to prevent initiations of reversals prior to the operation of the extinguishing switch element during each cycle of operation.
