    摘要: A hydraulically supported roller comprises a hollow cylinder that rotates about a stationary cross-head. Cylindrical recesses are radially disposed in the cross-head. Piston-like supporting plungers are displaceable in the recesses against the inner circumference of the cylinder. To limit the stroke of the supporting plunger in the cylinder recess and, hence, the displacement of the cylinder relative to the cross-head, at least one conduit is provided, which leads from the interior of the cylindrical recess to the clearance space outside of the cross-head. Pressure fluid is allowed to escape from the cylindrical recess to limit the stroke when the conduit is uncovered at a predetermined stroke by the supporting plunger.

    摘要: A controlled deflection roll system includes a rotative cylindrical shell having an outside adapted to form a nip with a counter roll, a non-rotative shaft extending axially through and radially spaced from the shell's inside and having projecting ends to which force is applied to press the shell against the counter roll. Inside the shell pressure elements press the shell in the same direction, the counter roll providing a reaction, and because the shell does not have its ends journaled on the shaft, the shaft can float inside the shell in dependence on the forces involved. Automatic devices automatically responsive to any radial displacement of the shaft relative to the shell control the force applied to the shaft's ends so as to keep the shaft centered at its ends within the shell, permitting the application of a rotary drive to the shell.

A trench lies adjacent to the insulating field oxide or buried insulating oxide and adjacent to one of the conducting regions. The capacitors are each disposed in one trench for each memory cell. A first insulating layer covers the inner trench wall surface. A first electrode of the capacitor is disposed perpendicular to the substrate surface on the first insulating layer completely inside the trench. A second insulating layer is disposed on the first electrode. A second electrode is disposed vertically on the second insulating layer in the trench. A contact is connected between the first electrode of the capacitor and one of the conducting regions of the transistor laterally through an opening formed in the first insulating layer on the inner trench wall surface. Methods for producing the semiconductor memory configuration and a memory matrix having at least four of the memory cells, are also provided.

    摘要: A roll arrangement comprises a hydraulically supported bottom roller having rotating hollow cylinder and a stationary crosshead extending lengthwise through the cylinder to form a clearance space therewith. The end of the crosshead are supported by force exerting devices. The forces producing the line pressure of the roll are transferred through a hydraulic supporting device, such as hydraulic fluid contained within a longitudinal pressure chamber in the crosshead, to the inner circumference of the hollow cylinder. When a quick release action is desired to separate the bottom roller from its counterroll, the pressure in the longitudinal chamber is suddenly lowered by opening a quick release valve connected to a return tank. A corresponding reduction of the pressure in the force exerting devices to permit separation of the rollers occurs only after a sensor, such as a dynamometer, has determined that the load on the crosshead has been substantially removed.
