    摘要: A method comprises a calibration curve creation step in which a calibration curve is created on the basis of hardened surface layer depth. A destructive test is performed on one of two samples in pairs, and propagation time of a first peak of a first wave of waveform of a signal outputted with the other in pairs in a non-destructive test is determined, the samples in pairs being prepared such that carburization depth varies gradually from pair to pair. A waveform of a signal outputted with a to-be-inspected piece is obtained. The propagation time of a first peak of a first wave of the waveform of the signal output with the to-be-inspected piece is obtained, and the hardened surface layer depth of the to-be-inspected piece is obtained using the calibration curve, on the basis of the propagation time obtained with the to-be-inspected sample.

    摘要: A hermetic compressor includes a closed vessel for storing lubricating oil, an electric-driving element, and a compressing element driven by the electric-driving element. The compressing element includes a cylinder block forming a compression chamber, a piton that reciprocates inside the compression chamber, and an oiling device for supplying the lubricating oil to an outer circumference of the piston. A first oil groove is concavely formed on the outer circumference of the piston, and a second oil groove is concavely formed on a side opposite to the compression chamber relative to the first oil groove. The second oil groove has a spatial volume same or greater than that of the first oil groove. An expanded clearance portion is provided such that a clearance between the piston and the cylindrical hole portion broadens from a top dead point to a bottom dead point.

Thus, deterioration in the refrigeration capability and instability of the performance is prevented.

    摘要: An apparatus for accurately inspecting an electroconductive film using an eddy current and an apparatus for production of an optical fiber which measures on-line the electrical resistance, which shows the state of formation of the electroconductive hermetic coating of the optical fiber by an electroconductive film inspection method and reflects back the measurement results to the hermetic coating forming conditions. Optical fiber is made up of a core, a cladding, amorphous carbon film or other electroconductive hermetic coating formed on the outer surface of the cladding, and a protective coating. The electrical resistance of the hermetic coating generates an eddy current at the coating, the eddy current generated is detected, and the phase angle of the complex impedance is detected to enable calculation. In particular, to accurately detect the phase angle, the high frequency current for generating the eddy current is changed by a low frequency of about 1/100th of the high frequency to change the average intensity and obtain at least two points of measurement defining the above phase angle. The electrical resistance of the hermetic coating is calculated from this phase angle. The electrical resistance shows the state of formation of the hermetic coating. The measurement value of the electrical resistance of the hermetic coating is used for setting the hermetic coating production conditions. The electroconductive film inspection method of the present invention may also be used for quality control etc. of thin films.

    摘要: An optical fiber soot synthesis apparatus which synthesizes around a fiber starting member forming a core of an optical fiber an optical fiber soot forming a cladding and which accurately calculates in real time the mass of the optical fiber soot when deposited so as to control the synthesis of the optical fiber soot. The optical fiber soot synthesis apparatus measures the weight of the rotating fiber starting member and optical fiber soot by a pair of soot weight detection sensors arranged at a fiber starting member support and rotational drive mechanisms divided so as to prevent the weight of the rotational drive mechanisms from having much of an effect. The computation and control apparatus performs operational processing from the measured weights and calculates the mass of only the optical fiber soot synthesized on the fiber starting member in real time. The computation and calculation apparatus refers to the calculated mass to control the synthesis of the optical fiber soot.

    摘要: A hermetic electric compressor is capable of efficiently pumping up a necessary amount of lubricating oil even at low-speed rotation and has a simple constitution to provide an excellent workablity in assembling. The hermetic electric compressor includes an oil pump. The oil pump includes (i) a slanting channel formed in the lower portion of a main shaft and slanting from the lower portion to the upper portion thereof outwardly, (ii) a throttle formed at the bottom end of the main shaft and having an inlet port of diameter smaller than the section of the slanting channel at the center thereof, and (iii) a lower communicating passage for providing a communication between the bottom end of a spiral groove and the slanting channel. This constitution is capable of effectively lift the head of the lubricating oil.

The muffler includes a suction muffler body which forms a sound-deadening space, a first communicating path which communicates with the suction valve and with the sound-deadening space, and a second communicating path which communicates with a hermetic container and with the sound-deadening space. An opening, situated in the sound-deadening space, of the first communicating path, and an opening, situated in the sound-deadening space, of the second communicating path are both open in the same direction. In addition, a sound-insulating wall is disposed on the wall of the muffler body at a place at least confronting both of the openings. This structure achieves low noise and high efficiency.

    摘要: A method and system for accurately inspecting an electroconductive film using an eddy current and a process and apparatus for production of an optical fiber which measures on-line the electrical resistance, which shows the state of formation of the electroconductive hermetic coating of the optical fiber by the electroconductive film inspection method and reflects back the measurement results to the hermetic coating forming conditions.
