Abstract: The reciprocating compressor has a cylinder with a compression chamber where a piston can slide between a crank-side position and a head-side position; a piston rod is mechanically connected to the piston and during operation of the compressor, slides in a hole of the compression chamber; there is a small gap between the hole and the piston rod; in order to avoid leakage from this gap a jacket is arranged around the piston rod and is sealed on one side to the piston and on the other side to the cylinder at the gap.

Abstract: A fluid end of a reciprocating pump assembly includes a cylinder, a cover, and a valve stop. The cylinder has a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and an access side wall comprising an access wall inner surface that defines an access opening. The valve stop is positioned partially in the fluid inlet and includes a spring retainer and a column portion. The column portion includes a flange positioned between the cover and the access wall inner surface. The flange is in the shape of an arc.

Abstract: A piston assembly for reducing clearance volume in a reciprocating compressor for compensating for piston tilt and improving the volumetric efficiency of the compressor includes a piston located within a piston cylinder, the piston having a first end and a second end, a wrist pin associated with the first end of the piston, and a cylinder head/valve assembly associated with the second end of the piston, wherein at least a portion of the second end of the piston includes an angled portion. The piston having the angled portion can be used with oil free cylinders and trunk type pistons. The piston can also be used in a multiple stage, multiple cylinder compressor including a series of piston assemblies. A method of increasing the volumetric efficiency of a reciprocating compressor can also be achieved using the piston having an angled portion.

Electrically-operated element (104) is formed of an outer-rotor-type motor which includes stator (150), and rotor (152) which is disposed coaxially with stator (150) so as to surround an outer periphery of stator (150). Further, non-sliding portion (146) is provided between main shaft (136) and bearing (144), and stator (150) is fixed to outer peripheral portion (162) of bearing (144) which corresponds to non-sliding portion (146).

Abstract: During a pressurization stroke of a high-pressure pump, a cylinder inner wall and a plunger receive a fuel pressure from the pressurization chamber. Meanwhile, an upper housing does not receive the fuel pressure from the pressurization chamber, so that its thickness can be made thin. A cylinder is comprised of a bottom portion, a cylindrical portion and a large-diameter cylindrical portion. When inserting the large-diameter cylindrical portion into a large engaging hole, the bottom portion and the cylindrical portion are not brought into contact with a lower housing. A high liquid-tightness between the bottom portion, the cylindrical portion and a small engaging hole can be ensured.
