Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing a foamed polymer composition using expandable hollow microbeads, wherein, in a first process strand, first starting materials, which include at least the predominant portion of the polymer or polymers to be used, are mixed and degassed to give a premix, whereafter this premix is subjected to a pressure such that the pairing of this pressure with the temperature of the premix is below the pressure and temperature pairing that is critical for triggering the expansion of the hollow microbeads to be used, wherein, in a second process strand, second starting materials, including the hollow microbeads to be used, are degassed, whereafter the second starting materials treated in the second process strand are added to the premix prepared in the first process strand, whereafter the second starting materials are mixed with the premix.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a splittable adhesive tape (1) with a left-hand (l) and a right-hand (r) delimiting edge, wherein at least one of these two edges (l, r) is unstraight. The unstraight edge (l) has projections (V), which are rounded at their furthest projecting points (v).
Abstract:
A pneumatic vehicle tire includes a carcass, a bead with a bead core arranged in the bead, and a first sensor located within the bead. The first sensor delivers signals which are correlated to frictional forces transmitted by the pneumatic vehicle tire during operation. This sensor has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end includes a heel attached to the bead core and the second end extends radially outward from the bead core within the tire. A plurality of such sensors can be included in each tire, some for measuring longitudinal forces in a circumferential direction of the tire and others for measuring lateral forces in an axial direction of the tire.
Abstract:
Motor vehicle wheel including a wheel rim and a tire having a tire interior enclosed by the wheel rim and the tire. The tire is mounted on the wheel rim, and the wheel also includes an insert composed of a ring-shaped sound-absorbing material that is positioned within the tire interior. The wheel further includes an acoustically transparent support element having tensile strength, at least in a circumferential direction of the tire, that is coupled to the insert.
Abstract:
A device for measuring a rotary frequency of a rotating vehicle tire includes a number of first poles uniformly arranged on a circle with a radius R1 on or within a vehicle tire. A first sensor, for sensing the first poles, is stationarily arranged at a distance R2 from a rotational axis of the vehicle wheel. The radii have the following relationship: 0.9 R1
Abstract:
A method for correcting tire imbalance of a tubeless pneumatic vehicle tire includes the step of mounting the tire on a master wheel rim of great manufacturing precision and having a design that is identical at least in its seat surface to commercial wheel rims for the tire. The tire is inflated to a pressure within a range of -0.3 bar to +0.2 bar of a maximum operating pressure. The pneumatic vehicle tire mounted on the master wheel rim is pressed against a measuring device. At least one radial parameter is measured. The values of the radial parameter are recorded as a function of the angle of rotation from 0.degree. to 360.degree. of the tire. The maximum and the minimum of the radial parameter is determined and the difference between the maximum and minimum is calculated. The difference is compared to a predetermined threshold value. The bead of the tire, when the difference between the maximum and the minimum is above the threshold value, is corrected. Correction includes the step of removing at locations, where the value of the radial parameter is greater than the minimum plus the threshold value, tire material from the radially inwardly facing seat surface of the tire bead at least to such an extent that the remaining tire imbalance is within a given tolerance range.
