    Abstract: A system is provided for allocating downlink transmit power in a wireless multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. During operation, the system identifies a set of receivers for receiving signals from one or more transmitters on a same time-frequency slot, receives channel state information (CSI) for communication channels between the identified receivers and the transmitters, and constructs a precoder based on the CSI. The system further derives a set of power-scale factors for the precoder based on a utility function associated with the identified receivers such that the power-scale factors optimize the utility function. A respective power-scale factor scales power transmitted to a corresponding receiver.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided that may simplify and enhance the location of nodes in a network, including ED and mobile TPs, even if all or many of the nodes are mobile. The methods may be used to enable single TP positioning, and may be used to reduce synchronization error. The provided methods make use of smart reflectors having known location. By processing a combination of signals, which may include an original transmitted signal, and/or one or more reflected signals, the location of a receiving node can be determined. Media tagging may be employed to allow a receiver to detect the identity of the nearby reflectors (with known locations) and based on the identity determine the locations of the reflectors. Using this information, the receiving node can detect its location regardless of knowing the transmission source and/or location.

    Abstract: Methods and devices for sounding reference signal (SRS) carrier aggregation are provided. A target device is configured with N (N≥2) SRSs that include a reference SRS and N−1 target SRS. Lower layer signaling, such as a MAC-CE or a DCI message, is used to activate the N−1 target SRS, such that each of the N SRSs is transmitted on a respective carrier component from a common antenna port. The lower level signaling used to activate the target SRS may identify configuration parameters of the target SRS that are to be overridden by the corresponding configuration parameters of the reference SRS. Embodiments of the present disclosure increase the effective SRS bandwidth, which may improve positioning measurement accuracy, while also reducing the higher-layer configuration signaling by activating target SRS in lower layer signaling and overriding some configuration parameters of the target SRS by the corresponding configuration parameters of the reference SRS.
