Abstract:
In the case where received e-mail data can not be printed, e-mail control section 33 transfers the received e-mail data to another information terminal device. And facsimile control section 34 instructs facsimile section 27 to print an error message including sender information and an attached file format. And indication control section 35 starts up indication section 29.
Abstract:
An electronic mail converting apparatus for facsimile that includes connections connecting to a facsimile, a public network, and a LAN. The connections may be internally changed according to the type of data or an instruction received. A converting device exists for converting data to e-mail data or vice versa, as required, wherein the converted data is transmitted to an instructed designation.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal device includes a wireless communication interface and a wired communication interface. The device further includes a wired communication determination unit configured to determine whether or not communication with a network by the wired communication interface, an external power source supply unit configured so as to be supplied power from the outside for charge or replacement of a built-in battery, a power supply state detection unit configured to detect that a state, in which power is supplied from the outside to the external power source supply unit, is attained, and a control unit configured to set a state in which the wireless communication interface is available regardless a determination result of the wired communication determination unit after the power supply state detection unit detects the state in which the power is supplied from the outside.
Abstract:
An IP telephone system includes an IP telephone apparatus, a Web server and an ENUM server. The IP telephone apparatus is connected to an IP network. The Web server registers talk volume information corresponding to a telephone number assigned to the IP telephone apparatus. The ENUM server registers a NAPTR resource record in which a URI specifies link data related to the talk volume information registered in the Web server. In the IP telephone system, the IP telephone apparatus that has received a call transmits, to the ENUM server, a query for a NAPTR record corresponding to a targeted recipient phone number. The IP telephone apparatus then transmits, to the Web server, a request for the talk volume information corresponding to the targeted recipient phone number according to the returned NAPTR resource record, and adjusts the talk volume according to the returned talk volume information.
Abstract:
When one of two IP telephones that are maintaining a call receives a TV camera connection request, the IP telephone obtains a URI of an IP TV camera service from a resource record of the opposing terminal. Then, the IP telephone delivers the URI of the IP TV camera service to an IP TV camera adaptor of its own IP telephone in order to make a video communication request. The resource record of the opposing terminal is associated with a telephone number of the opposing IP telephone, the record being obtained by connecting to a DNS server. The IP TV camera adaptor connects a call, via the IP telephone, to an IP TV camera adaptor of the opposing terminal, using the URI of the IP TV camera service of the opposing terminal and performs video image communication.
Abstract:
An Internet facsimile apparatus for receiving e-mail data, is connected to a computer network. The Internet facsimile apparatus comprises an e-mail receiver that receives e-mail data transmitted via the computer network. The e-mail data includes a header, document information and image information. Further, the Internet facsimile apparatus comprises a determiner that determines whether or not the document information contains a predetermined data. This predetermined data indicates that the e-mail data is data which was transmitted from an Internet facsimile apparatus. A printer in the Internet facsimile apparatus prints the entire received e-mail data when the determiner determines that the document information does not contain the predetermined data, and prints only the image information when the determiner determines that the document information contains the predetermined data.
Abstract:
An Internet facsimile apparatus as a sender makes inquiry about capability, which a destination Internet facsimile apparatus possesses, to a local server in a local network. When the local server has no capability information of the destination stored, the sender makes inquiry to a DNS server higher than the local server and obtains capability information of the destination from the DNS server. Then, the sender registers the obtained capability information of the destination to a memory, which the local server or the sender has. This realizes that the sender can surely obtain capability information of the destination. Also, this makes it possible to automatically register capability information of the destination to the memory of the local server or the sender.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus includes a scanner configured to scan a document to obtain binary image data, an adder that adds paper size information to the obtained binary image data and a converter that converts the binary image data, including the paper size information, into e-mail data. A transmitter transmits the converted e-mail data, including the paper size information to a destination terminal over a network so that the destination terminal can determine whether to downsize the binary image data in the e-mail data in accordance with the paper size information.
Abstract:
A RARP processing section of a network scanner obtains a MAC address corresponding to a user name from a MAC address table, and broadcasts a RARP request by use of this MAC address. While, a PC sends a pair of a self-IP address and a mail address to a RARP processing section in response to the RARP request. After obtaining an IP address of this PC, a scanner scans an original, and generates e-mail to which the image is appended. Next, an SMTP transmitting section directly transmits the generated e-mail to the PC. At this time, the SMTP transmitting section uses the IP address of PC obtained by the RARP processing section. In the network to which HDCP is introduced, the network scanner automatically obtains the IP address of PC, and directly transmits image data to the PC.
Abstract:
A relaying apparatus relays an E-mail to a facsimile destination. The relaying apparatus stores a non-public mail address, which is accessible only by an authorized sender having authorization, and a public mail address, which is accessible to a sender regardless of authorization. A receiver receives the E-mail via a network, a recognizer recognizes a destination address from the received E-mail, and a determination section determines whether the recognized destination address is the non-public mail address or the public mail address. A converter converts the E-mail into a facsimile-format data, when the recognized destination mail address is determined to be the non-public mail address, a relaying section relays the converted facsimile-format data to the facsimile destination according to a facsimile procedure through a telephone network; and an output system outputs the E-mail, when the recognized destination address is determined to be the public mail address, without relaying the E-mail to another facsimile destination.
