    Abstract: A system and method for determining a handoff target base station in a mobile communication system according to a direction of travel of a mobile station are provided. The method for transmitting destination information includes determining whether a navigation mode is enabled and, if the navigation mode is enabled, determining whether a hot key is pressed for a predetermined time.
