Abstract: A pouch type secondary battery according to the present invention includes: an electrode assembly; a battery case accommodating the electrode assembly in an inside thereof; an electrode tab protruding from the electrode assembly; a first electrode lead having an inner end connected to the electrode tab; a second electrode lead having an inner end coupled to an outer end of the first electrode lead and an outer end extending outside of the battery case; a connection part coupling the first and second electrode leads to each other; an insulation part fused around a portion of each of the first and second electrode leads, the insulation part bonding the first and second electrode leads to the battery case; and a fusion prevention part located at a position at one surface of the first electrode lead, the fusion prevention part preventing the first electrode lead from being fused to the insulation part.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pouch-shaped secondary battery including a battery case, an electrode assembly having a structure in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are stacked in the state in which a separator is interposed therebetween, an electrode lead having an asymmetrical notch formed in a first surface of the electrode lead, the electrode lead being electrically connected to electrode tabs of the electrode assembly, the asymmetrical notch being configured to induce the rupture of the electrode lead, a lead film attached to the first surface and a second surface of the electrode lead, the lead film adhering the electrode lead to the battery case, the lead film including a first lead film located between the electrode assembly and the asymmetrical notch, and a second lead film located between the asymmetrical notch and a portion of the electrode lead that protrudes out of the battery case.

Abstract: A secondary battery configured to have a structure in which an electrode assembly is received in a battery case together with an electrolytic material, wherein the battery case is provided therein with a space for receiving the electrode assembly and wherein the battery case is made of a thermoplastic resin, which can be injection-molded. An injection mold may be formed such that the size of the mold corresponds to the thickness of the electrode, thereby solving a problem in which the formability of a conventional laminate sheet including a metal layer is low. In addition, a process of forming the laminate sheet and a process of sealing the battery case using a pressing member, which are essentially required in order to use the laminate sheet, may be omitted, whereby a manufacturing process is simplified and thus productivity is improved.
