    Abstract: A fuel cell has a stack that includes a fuel electrode and air electrode on opposite sides of an electrolyte membrane. The fuel electrode includes first and second fuel ports communicative via a fuel flow path, and the air electrode includes first and second air ports communicative via an air flow path. The fuel cell also includes first and second fuel feeders communicative with the first and second fuel ports, and first and second air feeders communicative with the first and second air ports. The fuel cell also includes a fuel switching unit between the first and second fuel feeders that switches a fuel supply direction between the first and second fuel feeders. The fuel cell further includes an air switching unit between the first and second air feeders that switches an air supply direction between the first and second air feeders.

    Abstract: An ejector and a refrigeration cycle apparatus having an ejector are provided. The ejector may include an ejector body having a suction portion into which a high pressure refrigerant and a low pressure refrigerant may be suctioned, and having a mixing portion provided at one side of the suction portion and configured to mix the high pressure refrigerant with the low pressure refrigerant; a nozzle movably provided in the suction portion, and configured to inject the high pressure refrigerant; a needle inserted into an end of the nozzle and configured to control a flow sectional area of the nozzle; and a nozzle drive configured to drive the nozzle so as to be relatively movable with respect to the mixing portion and the needle. As a flow sectional area of a high pressure refrigerant passage and a flow sectional area of a low pressure refrigerant passage are controlled, a driving efficiency of the ejector may be enhanced.

    Abstract: Provided is a turbo fan. The turbo fan includes a main plate rotating by a fan motor providing power and a plurality of blades having one ends connected to the main plate, the plurality of blades being disposed along a circumferential direction on the main plate. Each of the plurality of blades includes a first curved part curved in one direction with respect to an extension part and a second curved part curved in the other direction with respect to the extension part. A plurality of projections protruding in one direction from the one end of the blade and a plurality of grooves protruding in the other direction are alternately disposed on the first and second curved parts. Alternatively, the turbo fan includes a main plate rotating by a fan motor providing power, a rotation shaft providing a rotation center of the main plate, a plurality of blades having a blade front end disposed adjacent to the rotation shaft and a blade rear end disposed spaced from the rotation shaft, the plurality of blades being disposed in a circumferential direction on the main plate, and an extension part defined as a virtual line straightly extending from an upper portion of the blade rear end to a lower portion of the blade rear end. Each of the blades includes a first curved part curved in one direction with respect to the extension part, a second curved part curved in the other direction with respect to the extension part, a first flow part defined as a space between the extension part and the first curved part, and a second flow part defined as a space between the extension part and the second curved part.

    Abstract: An ejector and a refrigeration cycle apparatus having an ejector are provided. The ejector may include an ejector body having an accommodation space therein, a suction portion through which a high pressure refrigerant and a low pressure refrigerant may be suctioned into the accommodation space, and a mixing portion configured to mix the high pressure refrigerant with the low pressure refrigerant; a nozzle provided in the ejector body, having a nozzle neck and an expansion portion, and configured to inject the high pressure refrigerant into the mixing portion; a first needle moveably provided at the expansion portion, and configured to control a flow sectional area of the expansion portion; a second needle moveably provided at the nozzle neck, and configured to control a flow sectional area of the nozzle neck; a first needle drive configured to drive the first needle; and a second needle drive configured to drive the second needle. With such a configuration, the flow sectional area of the nozzle neck and the flow sectional area of the expansion portion may be independently controlled in correspondence to a drive condition.

    Abstract: A fuel cell stack includes a first stack including a plurality of first fuel cells stacked on each other, and a second stack including a plurality of second fuel cells stacked on each other and disposed on one side of the first stack. Each of the first stack and the second stack includes a fuel inlet hole, through which fuel to be supplied to anodes of the respective first and second fuel cells is introduced, a fuel discharge hole, through which the fuel passing through the anodes is discharged, an air inlet hole, through which air to be supplied to cathodes of the respective first and second fuel cells is introduced, and an air discharge hole, through which the air passing through the cathodes is discharged. The fuel cell stack divided into the two stacks increases a charging ratio of hydrogen at the anodes of the respective stacks.
