Abstract:
A method for transmitting a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) packet in a wireless local area network is described. The method includes generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) including a short training field (STF), a long training field (LTF), a very high throughput (VHT)-signal field, a VHT-STF, a VHT-LTF and a plurality of data streams. The STF is used for at least one receiver to estimate an automatic gain control and a coarse frequency offset. The LTF is used for the at least one receiver to estimate a fine frequency offset. The VHT-STF is used for improving automatic gain control estimation in a MIMO transmission. The VHT-LTF is used for estimating a MIMO channel based on the plurality of data streams. The PPDU is transmitted to the at least one receiver.

Abstract:
A method is presented for transmitting a data packet in a wireless local area network. A physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) is generated, The PPDU indicates that the PPDU is to be transmitted to a plurality of receivers. The PPDU includes a legacy-short training field (L-STF), a legacy-long training field (LTF), a legacy-signal field (L-SIG), a signal field and a plurality of data streams. The PPDU is transmitted to the plurality of receivers through a plurality of subchannels. The signal field includes stream information and subchannel information. The stream information indicates at least one of the plurality of data streams assigned to each of the plurality of receivers. The subchannel information indicates at least one of the plurality of subchannels through which a corresponding data steam assigned to each of the plurality of receivers is transmitted.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for transmitting a signal of a station (STA) operable in a power saving mode in a wireless communication system, and the method for transmitting a signal comprises a step of transmitting a PS-Poll frame and/or a trigger frame according to a first time period, wherein an integrated scaling factor is applied to the first time period, and the integrated scaling factor is also commonly applied to a second time period in which the STA can omit frame transmission by maintaining an association state with an access point (AP).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for a station (STA) for accessing a channel in a wireless communication system. The method for a STA for accessing a channel in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving a beacon frame comprising a traffic indicator map (TIM); and transmitting a power save (PS)-Poll frame if buffered traffic is indicated by TIM to the STA, wherein the PS-Poll frame is transmitted during a PS-Poll dedicated restricted access window (RAW) by and/or during an additional RAW, the PS-Poll dedicated RAW being allocated to transmit the PS-Poll frame, and the additional RAW being additionally allocated subsequent to the PS-Poll-dedicated RAW.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More particularly, a method and a device for restricted access window-based channel access in a WLAN system are disclosed. The method whereby a station (STA) performs channel access in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: receiving restricted access window (RAW) cross-border transmission allowance (CBTA) information from an access point (AP) in case an RAW is allocated to the STA; and performing transmission by the STA on the basis of the RAW CBTA information. In case the RAW CBTA information is configured as a first value, transmission by the STA beyond the border of the RAW may be allowed.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for a specific station, operating as a non-AP (Access Point) station permitted to operate within available channels not used by a licensed device, to operate as an AP station in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) are disclosed. A specific protocol related to a registration of a station's location to operate within a white space id defined whose Information IDs comprises a registration request and a registration response. Using the defined registration request and registration response, the station can register its geographical location with a Registered Location Server (RLS), and operate as an AP STA within WS.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a WLAN system. The method for accessing a channel from a station (STA) in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving from an access point (AP) a first frame including a traffic indication map (TIM) and a restricted access window (RAW) parameter set component; determining a RAW in which channel access of the STA is permitted, on the basis of the RAW parameter set (RPS) component; and transmitting a second frame to the AP from within the RAW that is determined, wherein the RAW includes at least one slot, the RPS component includes at least one RAW allocation field, each of the at least one RAW allocation field includes a RAW duration field and a slot duration field, and wherein an index of a slot which is allocated to the STA can be determined on the basis of an association identifier (AID) of the STA and the number of the slots in the RAW.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for low-power scanning in a WLAN system. A method for a station (STA) scanning in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: transmitting a null data packet (NDP) probe request frame; and receiving from an access point (AP) a probe reply frame as a replay to the NDP probe request frame, wherein the NDP probe request frame can include a compressed service set ID (SSID).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for maintaining association in a WLAN system are disclosed. The method for performing association by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system includes: transmitting an association request frame from the station (STA) to an access point (AP); and receiving an association response frame from the access point (AP) in response to the association request frame. If the association request is accepted by the access point (AP), the association response frame includes information regarding an association comeback time.
