    Abstract: Proposed is a method of controlling a gas heat-pump system, the system including an air conditioning module having a compressor and indoor and outdoor heat exchangers, and an engine module having an engine combusting mixed gas and thus generating drive power for operating the compressor, the method including: measuring factors that are temperature and humidity of outside air, an rpm of the engine, intake pressure, and an air-fuel ratio, the factors having effects on driving of the engine in an operating environment where the engine is driven; measuring a necessary ignition voltage for an ignition coil in a manner that corresponds to at least one of a plurality of the measured factors; and calculating a dwell time at which the necessary ignition voltage is output by the ignition coil.

    Abstract: A gas engine heat pump and a method of operating the same are provided. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the gas engine heat pump includes: an engine for burning a mixture of air and fuel; an exhaust gas compressor for compressing exhaust gases coming from the engine; a buffer tank for storing the exhaust gases compressed by the exhaust gas compressor; an exhaust gas valve disposed between the buffer tank and an intake manifold of the engine; an exhaust gas spray nozzle for spraying the exhaust gases stored in the buffer tank into a cylinder of the engine; an exhaust gas sensor for acquiring information on the exhaust gases coming from the engine; and a controller, wherein the controller controls the operation of at least one of the exhaust gas valve and the exhaust gas spray nozzle, based on the information on the exhaust gases acquired by the exhaust gas sensor. Other various embodiments are possible.

The air conditioner may include an EHP outdoor device configured to drive a first compressor using electric power, and having a first heat exchanger that evaporates or condenses a refrigerant; a GHP outdoor device having an engine configured to drive a second compressor using a burned gas and a second heat exchanger that evaporates or condenses the refrigerant; and a flow rate balancing device configured to connect the first heat exchanger with the second heat exchanger, and to control a flow rate of the refrigerant through the EHP outdoor device and the GHP outdoor device.

    Abstract: An air conditioner is provided. The air conditioner may include at least one indoor device, an electric heat pump (EHP) outdoor device connected with the at least one indoor device, and having a first compressor driven using electric power and a first outdoor heat exchanger, and a gas heat pump (GHP) outdoor device connected with the at least one indoor device, and having an engine portion driven through a combustion gas, a second compressor driven by receiving a driving force from the engine portion, and a second outdoor heat exchanger. The GHP outdoor device may include an engine circulation pipe in which a refrigerant flowing through the EHP outdoor device may be introduced and then supplied to the engine portion.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a gas engine heat pump including: an engine which burns a mixed air of air and fuel; a first exhaust flow path which is connected to the engine so that exhaust gas discharged from the engine passes through and is discharged to the outside; a turbo charger including: a first compressor which compresses the mixed air and supplies to the engine, and a first turbine which is installed in the first exhaust flow path and receives the exhaust gas passing through the first exhaust flow path to drive the first compressor; a supercharger which is installed in the first exhaust flow path between the engine and the first turbine, and receives and compresses the exhaust gas passing through the first exhaust flow path to supply to the first turbine; a second exhaust flow path which is branched from the first exhaust flow path between the engine and the supercharger, and converges to the first exhaust flow path between the supercharger and the first turbine; a first valve which is installed to be opened and closed in the second exhaust flow path; a third exhaust flow path which is branched from the first exhaust flow path between the supercharger and the first turbine, and converges to the first exhaust flow path in downstream of the first turbine; a second valve which is installed to be opened and closed in the third exhaust flow path; and a controller which controls operations of the first valve, the second valve, and the supercharger according to load of the engine.
