摘要: An engine system of the present disclosure includes an engine configured to drive a plurality of pistons by burning a mixture of air and gas, an air supply pipe through which the air supplied to the engine flows, a supercharger configured to compress the air flowing through the air supply pipe, a gas supply pipe through which the gas supplied to the engine flows, and a mixer configured to mix the air that has passed through the supercharger and the gas. The mixer has a venturi tube shape in which a cross-sectional area of a flow path decreases and expands in a flow direction of the air that has passed through the supercharger, and the gas supply pipe is connected to a portion of the mixer where the cross-sectional area of the flow path in the mixer is decreased.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an engine structure for a vehicle. The engine structure includes: an intake port, a port plate provided in the single flow path of the intake port, and an injector. The port plate is longitudinally parallel to the flow path of the intake port so as to divide the flow path of the intake port into upper and lower flow paths, and the port plate includes an extension portion formed on part of a downstream end of the port plate such that the extension portion of the downstream end of the port plate extends longer than other portion of the downstream end of the port plate. In particular, the injector is provided in the intake port, and sprays fuel beyond the extension portion so as to inhibit the fuel from adhering to the port plate.

摘要: An air-pressure booster includes a tube, an indirect flow pass and a direct flow pass respectively formed inside the tube. A tapered neck is formed on one end of the tube and connects to an air output nozzle which is connected to an engine. When the engine is working, air passes through the indirect flow pass and the direct flow pass. The air rates respectively generated from the indirect flow pass and the direct flow pass are different and form a whirlpool inside the tapered neck, outputting an enhanced air force and pressure. Therefore, the air-pressure booster could increase efficiency of fuel use and could reduce oil consumption.

摘要: An intake manifold is provided that controls swirl on entry to a combustion chamber. Each intake manifold includes a fin or rib portion positioned to reduce or eliminate swirl induced by the configuration of the intake manifold, particularly when used in a large engine having a left bank and a right bank of combustion chambers. By controlling swirl induced by the intake manifold, charge motion consistency is improved between engine cylinders and between the left bank and the right bank, thereby improving the consistency of combustion and power output, improving efficiency and reducing emissions (e.g., decreased particulate emissions (also described as smoke), hydrocarbon emissions, and NOx emissions), and further including an improved knock margin, improved fuel economy, wider rich and lean limits, etc.

For each combustion chamber at least one intake valve is closed prematurely or belatedly and an exhaust gas recirculation can be carried out. For each combustion chamber at least two intake valves are provided which are opened at least during the exhaust gas recirculation with different maximum strokes.

In one aspect of the invention a throttle valve system that entrains a flow of gas, which can include a fuel, into a structured flow pattern via the inclusion of topological on a surface of the valve body and/or the flow chamber. The topological features can be arranged in a pattern configured to produce movement and/or structured turbulence in a stream of gas that is introduced to the throttle valve. An excitation source that ionizes or cracks species in the gas stream can be optionally utilized.

摘要: The inventive subject matter provides apparatus, systems and methods for treating and delivering a fuel to a combustion chamber of an engine in order to improve efficiency of the engine. In one aspect of the invention, a fuel injector that cooperates with an internal combustion engine to combust a first fuel to produce power is presented. The fuel injector includes a fuel inlet, a pre-conditioning vortex chamber, and an excitation chamber. The fuel injector includes a vortex chamber that conforms a pulsed amount of the first fuel to produce a vortex that includes a coherent dynamic pressure wave. The fuel injector also includes an excitation mechanism that at least partially ignites the fuel.

摘要: An internal combustion engine is disclosed and includes a main cylinder and main piston that are relatively axially displaceable along a main axis to define a variable volume main working chamber. At least one valve is configured to admit air and fuel into the working chamber forming an air/fuel mixture. The main cylinder is configured to cause the air/fuel mixture in the main cylinder to spin rapidly enough to cause a substantive change in the heat capacity of the air/fuel mixture creating a spinning air/fuel mixture. The main cylinder and main piston are configured to compress the spinning air/fuel mixture to create an ignitable spinning air/fuel mixture. The spinning air/fuel mixture is ignited and the main cylinder and main piston are configured to extract mechanical energy from the ignited spinning air/fuel mixture. An exhaust valve is configured to exhaust combustion products from the main working chamber.

摘要: A system for targeting an air-fuel mixture flow pattern within the intake port of an internal combustion engine is provided. The system includes a flow pattern control plate movably provided within the intake port. The plate includes at least one air-fuel mixture funneling opening. The opening is rounded and is preferably ovoid. Preferably there are two openings with one opening being larger than the other. The upstream side of the plate includes a sloped surface formed from its edge toward the openings, thus funneling the air-fuel mixture passing from the upstream side, through the plate, and to the downstream side. The size, shape and number of openings can be selectively adjusted thus making the system tunable. The intake port includes a sloped portion formed on its inner surface adjacent the flow pattern control plate to funnel the flow of the air-fuel mixture through the openings formed in the plate.
