摘要: In an example embodiment, an automatic warning system that warns users of personal mobile devices (such as cellular telephones and portable music players) when they enter or are near the threshold of a hazardous area while using their mobile device. In an example embodiment, the mobile device is automatically paused upon entering a street and resumes when the user has crossed the street. In a cellular telephone embodiment, calls are automatically put on hold upon entering the hazardous area, optionally the other parties to the call are informed of the reason for the hold, and the call is automatically resumed when all parties have left the hazardous area.

摘要: In one embodiment, a conference with multiple end points is provided. At the locations, multiple screens may be configured to display video from a portion of the multiple end points. Video from multiple locations is output onto the multiple screens, such as video streams from N different segments are output on N different screens. The video output may be determined based on a first dimension of the floor control algorithm. A push-to-talk input may then be received from a button. A video segment associated with the push-to-talk button is then determined and the video segment is output on one of the multiple screens in response to receiving the push-to-talk input. The push-to-talk input may be used by users that cannot actively participate in the first dimension of the floor control algorithm. For example, users using sign language cannot speak louder and thus by using the push to talk button or hand gestures can indicate their desire to be switched in as one of the displayed segments.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes scanning, by an automated tool, a set of application programs and/or systems associated with a user, the set including one or more action items calendared in a relevant time period that includes one or more days when the user intends to be out of the office. The one or more action items are then presented to the user via a user interface. Responsive to input received, each of one or more delegates correspondingly assigned to the one or more action items is automatically notified of the assignment. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method includes establishing a call, and continuously monitoring the call from or using a first endpoint associated with the call. Monitoring the call includes identifying when an information element associated with the call has changed. The method also includes determining when the information associated with the call has changed, and storing a representation of the information element in an enhanced directory arrangement associated with the first endpoint when the information associated with the call has changed.

摘要: A method and system to process communications in an automatic communication distributor is described. The method may comprise receiving a communication and identifying an originating location from which the communication originates. Thereafter, a determination is made when the originating location corresponds to a predefined high priority geographical area and a priority to the communication is assigned based on the originating location. The call may be assigned a higher priority when the originating location corresponds to the high priority geographical area than when the originating location does not correspond with the high priority geographical area. The communication is queued based on the assigned priority. A method is also provided to assign an agent using an automated call distributor based on a distance between the originating location of the communication and the determined geographical locations of the potential respondents.

摘要: A method for intelligently managing a transportation network is provided. The method may include providing a roadside apparatus 18 to communicate with nodes 14A to 14D associated with vehicles 12A to 12D in a transportation network, the vehicle nodes being in a neighborhood range of the roadside apparatus. The roadside apparatus may dynamically detect the presence of a node 14A associated with a first vehicle 12A, and establish a mobile Internet Protocol (IP) network between the roadside apparatus and the first vehicle's node. The roadside apparatus 18 receives, in real-time, from the first vehicle's node 14A event data of events associated with the first vehicle 12A over the mobile IP network. The roadside apparatus 18 or nodes 14A to 14D may further receive or transmit real-time command data to control subsystems of a vehicle.

摘要: In one embodiment, techniques for sending a conference invite that provides access to a list of participants in an existing conference are provided. A participant in a conference may decide to send an invite for the existing conference to the user. A request for inviting the user into the existing conference is received. A list of participants in the existing conference is determined. An invite message for the conference is then generated where the invite message includes information for the list of participants. The invite message is then sent to the user where the information for the list of participants is accessible to the user. For example, the list of participants may be displayed as caller ID information when the invite message is received by the user.

摘要: A system for handling service requests received from end-users that include telephone callers and persons who are physically present at a branch or store. The system includes an ACD and a ticket dispenser coupled with the ACD. The ticket dispenser being operable to first dispense a ticket having an identifier to each person who requests service at the branch or store, and then electronically communicate the identifier to the ACD. The ACD includes one or more queues to order calls received from the telephone callers and identifiers. The ACD routes either a call or a person to an available agent in accordance with an algorithm. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).

摘要: In one embodiment, techniques for alerting a user of unchecked messages correlated to a contact before communicating with the contact are provided. The check for unchecked messages may be performed across a plurality of communication modalities. If one or more unchecked messages are found, then the user is alerted that there may be unchecked messages. The user may then have the option to check the unchecked messages before contacting the contact.
