Abstract: Two balls can reliably retract for smooth insertion of a tip tool into a tool holder. A hammer drill includes a tool holder, two balls in reception holes in the tool holder, a guide washer urging the balls forward in the reception holes with a coil spring, a pressure ring adjacent to a front of the guide washer, and an operation sleeve allowing the pressure ring to move backward and forward between locked and unlocked positions of the two balls. The guide washer includes, on its front surface, a projection toward the pressure ring to cause, with the pressure ring at the locked position, the guide washer to be inclined with respect to an axis of the tool holder for a first ball to move more backward than a second ball.

Abstract: A power tool comprises a motor, a final output shaft, a tool body, a detection device, and a braking device. The motor has a motor body including a stator and a rotor, and a motor shaft extending from the rotor and being rotatable around a first rotational axis. The final output shaft is configured to be rotationally driven around a second rotational axis by torque transmitted from the motor shaft. The tool body houses the motor and the final output shaft. The detection device is configured to detect a locking state of the final output shaft. The braking device is configured to directly act on the motor shaft to brake the motor shaft in response to detection of the locking state.

Abstract: A hammer drill includes a housing inside which a motor, a tubular tool holder, a driving mechanism, a rotation conversion member, and an inner housing are disposed. The driving mechanism is configured to perform at least one of rotation actuation of the tool holder and hammering actuation of a bit. The inner housing supports the driving mechanism, supports the tool holder via a first bearing, and supports an output shaft via a second bearing. The inner housing is divided into a front housing holding the first bearing and a rear housing that is formed in a separate body from the front housing and holds the second bearing. The inner housing is formed by connecting the front housing to the rear housing in an axis line direction of the tool holder. A seal member sealing outside space of the inner housing inside the housing is disposed in the front housing.

The air escape path that releases air inside the driving mechanism housing region to outside of the driving mechanism housing region is formed inside the rotation shaft while an inlet of the air escape path is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the rotation shaft.

Abstract: An impact tool includes a tubular tool holder, a hammering mechanism, a resistor, and a biasing member. An impact element moves forward and rearward in conjunction with a piston. An intermediate element is housed movable back and forth between the impact element and a tip tool. The intermediate element abuts on a rear end of the tip tool to indirectly transmit a striking force from the impact element to the tip tool in a normal striking. The resistor is configured to abut on at least one of the intermediate element and the tip tool to apply a resistance to a front-rear movement of at least one of the intermediate element and the tip tool in a non-striking state. The biasing member disposed on the tool holder biases the resistor to a side of at least one of the intermediate element and the tip tool.

Abstract: A dust collector for an electric power tool includes a main body case, a dust box, a sliding portion, and a dust collecting route. The sliding portion is disposed on the main body case. The sliding portion has a front end on which a nozzle with a suction opening is disposed. The sliding portion is slidable in a front-rear direction. The dust collecting route is from the suction opening to the exhaust port passing through the filter. The main body case includes a guiding portion through which the sliding portion passes, and the guiding portion allows the sliding portion to project rearward when the sliding portion slides.
