摘要: A communication system in which, even when an HTTP session is disconnected from a mobile device, the HTTP session can be continued or a response from a Web server can be returned to a user, without installing a special application in the mobile device. A load-distributable system is provided for realizing such operation. To that end, in a communication system having a relay device that relays a request from a portable telephone terminal (110) to a Web server (120), the relay device (130) relays a processing request from the portable telephone terminal (110) to the Web server, and stores a processing response from the Web server. The relay device (130) sends the portable telephone terminal a message to the effect that the processing response should be acquired from the relay device (130) or a message with the processing response added.

摘要: This invention efficiently restricts access to high-load web servers on an IP network, improves total throughput, and prevents web server and system stoppage and failures, while at the same time improving user service efficiency. After storing the association between IP addresses and host names into a memory, the congestion controller installed on the IP network controls a DNS server to acquire the IP address of a web server when a request is issued from a client to the web server, then if the web server of the IP address is judged to be congested, searches for another IP address of a non-congested web server associated with the same host name included in the memory-stored association, and forwards the client-issued request to the web server of the new IP address.

摘要: A proxy processing method to flexibly add/modify customized operations, such as customized user authentication and accounting, is provided. A state transition engine stores state information and moves processing forward by updating states. It has the following characteristics. (1) a state transition table indicating a proxy processing procedure is generated from a state definition file at start-up (i-(i)). (2) A state transition engine implements proxy processing according to the state transition table (1-(2)). (3) A feature is provided to add an extended region for extended features to the session management table. (1(3)). Also, with regard to extended logging: (1) An extended log definition file indicates extended log information to be logged (2-(1)). (2) Extended log information based on the extended log definition is stored in the session management table (2-(2)). (3) Each access log provides two types of separate information, a fixed-length standard log and a variable-length extended log.

摘要: A starter driving semiconductor switch apparatus energizes and de-energizes a starter according to a command from an outside. A series circuit to which semiconductor switches are connected in series is provided between a battery serving as a power supply and the starter. The starter is energized by bringing all the semiconductor switches into conduction. A voltage or a current at a predetermined point in the series circuit is monitored to make a self-diagnosis on whether the starter is allowed to start and whether there is a failure in the semiconductor switches according to a monitor output. The starter driving semiconductor switch apparatus is thus expected to have a longer useful life by energizing the starter not by using mechanical contacts but by using semiconductor switches.

摘要: There is a disclosure of a system which controls a folding unit performing folding processing to one set of sheets supplied by a print unit. The one set of sheets includes sheets of a first size and/or a second size which is smaller than the first size. The system includes a first controller and second controller. When the one set of sheets includes a sheet of the first size, the first controller inhibits the folding processing to a sheet of the second size. When the one set of sheets does not include a sheet of the first size but includes a sheet of the second size, the second controller permits the folding processing to a sheet of the second size.
