摘要: In a RAID management apparatus, a disk determination unit accesses each of RAID devices, determines a copy source disk, and sets a pointer of the determined copy source disk into a disk management table stored in a storage unit. When an input-output (I/O) processing unit accesses a disk, if an I/O error occurs on the disk, as a result a copy source disk and a copy destination disk are switched; the I/O processing unit renews a pointer associated with the copy source disk in the disk management table stored in the storage unit, and a disk notification unit notifies that the copy source disk and the copy destination disk are switched.

摘要: The present invention is applicable to an electronic apparatus such as a DVD player, a video player, a CD player, and the like, and is preferably applicable when used in a horizontal position or in a wall-hanging position and is designed to improve operability and visibility in any one of horizontal and wall-hanging positions. By removing rubber legs 30 from engagement holes 31 and hooking the engagement holes 31 on wall-hanging members, an electronic apparatus 1 can be used in a wall-hanging position. Then, by turning an interface section 13 upward by 90 degrees, the interface section 13 located on the bottom face side can be oriented toward the front side, thus providing excellent operability of an operation section 11 made up of a plurality of operation buttons 10 including a remote controlled reception section and making a display section 12 easy to see.

摘要: A new variety, called `Golden Oji`, of `Dawn Redwood` is valuable for landscape ornamental. The new variety has beautiful golden leaves genetically, so exhibits very lovely figure from spring to fall. The growth rate is slightly slower than that of a normal `Dawn Redwood`. The new variety becomes better in full sunlight or partial shade. The leaf color is extremely distinctive, that is bright yellow especially under strong sunlight. The new variety can be reproduced on a commercial scale by cutting or grafting.

摘要: A thermoplastic resin-silicone rubber composite shaped article comprising (a) a shaped article of a thermoplastic resin selected from the group consisting of soft vinyl chloride resins, olefin resins, urethane resins and styrene resins and (b) a cured layer of an addition polymerization type silicone rubber composition adhering to the one or both surfaces of the shaped article of a thermoplastic resin. To the surface of the above shaped article of a thermoplastic resin to which the above cured layer of an addition polymerization type silicone rubber composition does not adhere, there may adhere another cured layer of the above addition polymerization type silicone rubber composition. To either or both of these cured layers, there may further adhere a layer of the above thermoplastic resin, other thermoplastic resin, a silicone rubber, a silicone resin, glass, ceramics or a metal.

摘要: In a first management unit for a redundant array of independent disks (RAID management unit), a shared-class setting unit receives a shared-class setting command, for example, from a host computer. If the shared-class setting command includes information about the first RAID management unit and a second RAID management unit, a shared management-information creating unit creates shared management information, writes the created shared management information onto a first disk, notifies the second RAID management unit corresponding to a second disk about the shared management information, and gives an instruction to write the shared management information onto the second disk. The second RAID management unit then writes the notified shared management information onto the second disk.

摘要: The invention provides a recording and playing apparatus capable of recording data via timer recording, having a simplified power control setting operation at the end time of timer recording, thereby enabling to provide an apparatus having superior power-saving feature and improved operability. When the user manipulates the recording and playing apparatus during timer recording operation, the manipulation is recorded, and at the end of timer recording, the power is automatically maintained on, or power off process is not performed, if manipulation is performed during timer recording operation. If no manipulation is performed, a screen for accepting instructions from the user to maintain the power on state is displayed, and the power is turned off if there is no instruction received within a given period of time. Thus, the manipulation for setting the power control of the apparatus at the end time of the timer recording operation is simplified.
