摘要: A watermark coding method and its recording medium utilize image interleaving and wavelet-based transformation to enhance the robustness of the image. The watermark series to be inserted is converted, encrypted, and modulated to increase the difficulty in decoding and restoring. Finally, the watermark is distributed and hidden in various frequency bands of the image in a frequency hopping way, generating a robust watermarked image. When used in a recording medium, side information produced during coding is recorded in the lead-in area of the recording medium to reduce the chances of illegal copying.

摘要: A memory arrangement method and system for AC/DC prediction in video compression applications based on parallel processing is disclosed. The method and system achieves optimum operating efficiency for data operation and reading based on parallel computing characteristics (Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD)) of an operation unit of the system. Additionally, the method transplants a VC-1 video compression system running in an operating system (the Windows operating system, for example) to a system platform using a digital signal processor (DSP) as an operation unit and implements a real-time VC-1 encoder according to parallel computing characteristics of a hardware core of the system platform.

摘要: An apparatus for analyzing a physical signal representing a physical phenomenon is provided. The apparatus comprises an analog-to-digital converter, a slope calculator, a local extrema identifier, a residual signal constructor and an intrinsic mode function (IMF) extractor. The analog-to-digital converter is used to convert the physical signal into a plurality of data points. The slope calculator is used to calculate slope of each data point. The local extrema identifier is used to identify a plurality of local extrema of the slopes. The residual signal constructor is used to construct a residual signal of the physical signal from the data points corresponding to the local extrema of slopes. An IMF extractor is used to extract an intrinsic mode function indicative of an intrinsic oscillatory mode in the physical phenomenon by subtracting the residual signal from the physical signal. A method for analyzing a physical signal representing a physical phenomenon is provided.

摘要: A method for processing video image is provided to perform a motion vector filtering process on the image after being processed by a motion estimation process. The motion vector filtering process adjusts the motion vectors derived for each block in a video sequence, so that the motion vector of each block and the actual moving direction of the corresponding object in the image tend to conformity. Then, the blocks with similar motion vectors are merged and blocks with radical motion vectors are corrected, thereby reducing distortion of the output image and the number of bits used to represent the motion information, which in turns increases the efficiency of compression process.

摘要: An amplitude shifted information embedding and detection method based upon the phase equalization is disclosed. It utilizes an equalization function to perform equalization computations on the DCT coefficients of an image. Through pixel shift, the original DCT coefficients have energy changes. Such changes are used to generate a visually compatible image with keys embedded at the same time. The information embedded image is very robust in the sense that the key information can still be accurately restored without comparing with the original image even if it is destroyed.

摘要: The disclosure provides an ultrasound image registration apparatus and a method thereof suitable for registering two ultrasound images partially overlapped with each other. The apparatus comprises: a first-stage image-developing processing module, a second-stage image-developing processing module and a registration module. The first-stage image-developing processing module performs beam-forming processing on two ultrasound images so as to generate two raw images. The second-stage image-developing processing module connects the first-stage module for performing envelope detection processing and compression processing on the raw images so as to generate two developed ultrasound images. The registration module connects the two image-developing processing modules for respectively obtaining coordinate information of at least one feature point of the raw images as the initial values of an image registration procedure, and for performing speckles-reducing processing on the developed ultrasound images and using the speckles-reduced ultrasound images to perform the image registration procedure.

摘要: A method for encoding images according to object shapes is provided. The method enables reduced usage of storage space when an image encoding system encodes a received image frame. The method uses a bottom-up and sequential approach for encoding coefficients. The coefficients in each subband are numbered using a tree structure, wherein level N subband is designated as a root of the whole tree, level (N-1) subbands are designated as roots of subtrees, and level (N=1) subbands are designated as terminal nodes of subtrees. The terminal nodes for one of the subtrees are numbered first, and then this subtree is numbered in the bottom-up sequence. After that, the terminal nodes for another subtree are numbered, and this numbering sequence continues to number all the other subtrees until the root of the tree has been numbered, so as to allow a bottom-up encoding process for the coefficient to be performed.

摘要: A method for reducing memory resource utilization is disclosed, applied to simplify address space of a table. Values stored in address fields of an original table are analyzed to determine whether logical relationship is detected between the values. If the logical relationship is detected, the values stored in the original table are classified to multiple base values and corresponding reduced values to generate a transformation table. Values with the same logical relationship for base values and the corresponding reduced values are stored in a new and equivalent address field of a reduction table.

摘要: A method controls the access times of an optical disc end discs of the same. The method includes the following steps. First, an optical disc drive obtains the addresses of a life flag and a medium key block (MKB) by reading a private flag of an optical disc. The life flag and the MKB are used to control the access times of the optical disc. After confirming the addresses of the life flag and the MKB, the optical disc drive obtains an optical power signal to determine the power that should be used to read the MKB. When the optical disc drive uses the appropriate reading power to access the MKB, the recognizable number of access times in the 4KB data is reduced, and the medium key signal is extracted to be confirmed if it is recognizable to restate the main data.
