    摘要: An image data compression method is disclosed. Firstly, check a variance between a first image data and a second image data for comparing the variance with a threshold value. When the variance is smaller than a threshold value, compare the first image data with the second image data to generate a motion vector and compress the motion vector. Then calculate the first image data and the second image data according to the motion vector so as to get an offset value of the motion vector. Next, encode the offset value of the motion vector, compress the offset value of the motion vector, and encode as well as compress the first image data. Thus the compression ratio is improved and image distortion is avoided.

    摘要: A track-jump control system and method are provided. The track-jump control system applied in an optical disc drive comprises a signal generator, a protection device, a velocity estimator, and a controller. The signal generator receives the signal from the PUH and generates a tracking signal and a position signal. The protection device receives the position signal and when the position signal represents the PUH pass a predetermined position of the optical disc, the protection device generates a protection signal. The velocity estimator estimates the velocity of the PUH according to the tracking signal, and then generates a velocity signal. The controller receives the velocity signal and the protection signal, protects the velocity signal according to the protection signal, and generates a control signal to control the track-jump according to the protected velocity signal.

    摘要: The specification disclosed a method that controls the access times of an optical disc and discs of the same. The method includes the following steps. First, an optical disc drive obtains the addresses of a life flag and a medium key block (MKB) by reading a private flag of an optical disc. The life flag and the MKB are used to control the access times of the optical disc. After confirming the addresses of the life flag and the MKB, the optical disc drive obtains an optical power signal to determine the power that should be used to read the MKB. When the optical disc drive uses the appropriate reading power to access the MKB, the recognizable number of access times in the MKB data is reduced, and the medium key signal is extracted to be confirmed if it is recognizable to restore the main data.

    摘要: A track-jump control system and method are provided. The track-jump control system applied in an optical disc drive comprises a signal generator, a protection device, a velocity estimator, and a controller. The signal generator receives the signal from the PUH and generates a tracking signal and a position signal. The protection device receives the position signal and when the position signal represents the PUH pass a predetermined position of the optical disc, the protection device generates a protection signal. The velocity estimator estimates the velocity of the PUH according to the tracking signal, and then generates a velocity signal. The controller receives the velocity signal and the protection signal, protects the velocity signal according to the protection signal, and generates a control signal to control the track-jump according to the protected velocity signal.
